Here's why:
$1.1 million lowest NBA player can earn in 2023/2024. $925K in 2022/2023.
Lowest 2 way contract (G League and NBA)? $50K.
So, yeah $500K is very much something to fight for. Even if not for yourself. One way to bond as a team for the season.
That winning can continue to All Star break, and then you are fighting for playoffs seeding after break.
