The 4th quarter effort was there, but too little too late

4 Straight Home Ls is tuff, but stretches like this are just going to make it that much sweeter when we are back on top.

The San Antonio crowd showed out tonight.
Today’s wish list:
1. Wemby 15 points with at least 8 in the paint or FTs – check
2. Sochan 4 assists – check
3. At least 10 minutes of a Wemby-Tre shared lineup – ???
4. Vassel to grow a new groin – has an anaconda in there or something
5. A dub š – keep on playing that physical on defense then these will come sooner than later
This was a loss we can all live with. We showed a lot of heart throughout, weathering multiple runs by the clippers, and even mounting some runs ourselves. We made some good progress here, on to the next one.
Great game Spurs despite the L great D unfortunately bad O the first half but this is definitely a moral victory thank you we needed this and great game Wemby
Honestly, if we play like this then our losses would hurt less. We looked like a real team out there, too bad we shot 38%.
Fought till the end but the tank must role on
I had fun, well maybe except the 1st quarter and the turd quarter, but overall it was an enjoyable game of basketball.
Maybe players only meeting helped, I tuned in late but they looked good at the end.
We lost when we had no collins, wemby, or bassey in the paint and let them get a 12 point lead for no reason.
Glad to see the guys are improving. It’s happening slowly but it’s happening.
Much better game, just started flat on shooting. Big gains. Wemby had a very good game too. Hopefully we end this losing streak against warriors on Friday
isn’t it kind of crazy to have a 19 year old rookie put up 22 and 15 and 3 blocks and still feel like he hasn’t scratched the surface of what he can be?
This losing streak sucks, but all I can hope is that this team has turned a corner. I didn’t get a chance to watch the game, but it looks like the Spurs fought back and made it a close game. How did Sochan do? The box score made it look like this was his best outing as a PG.

Malaki is ass
This team has serious problems that no one wants to talk about. People want to use players like doug McDermott as a scapegoat, but atlests he does stuff. Barnham played 20 minutes and didn’t hit a shot. Pop is cooked. The majority of players on this team are garbage. The lineups are absolutely terrible. You give criticism to Pop sochan or wembanyama, and the majority of Spurs fans have a 2 year old tantrum like you wouldn’t believe.
Good effort in many respects but putrid first quarter shooting did us in. GSG and on to the next one.
Really hope more of our losses look like this going forward. I loved the effort from our guys. Clippers are a good team, and we made it a close game despite an abysmal first half from the field. Double digit scoring from all of our starters. Victorās shot selection was so much better this game, Vassell is getting better at finding victor, and sochan was doing a really good job scoring in the 4th. A lot to like
The defense looked a lot better tonight all things considered. Devin seemed to have taken command of the team which was sorely needed over this losing streak.
I will be a lot happier with the team when our starting PG can hit Wemby with the same lobs that Collins does.
Devin, Sochan and Wemby played really well today. Especially Sochan. This Clippers team is just more talented right now.
All you can really ask for with this roster is to be competitive against good teams and try to keep trending up and battle with consistency. They are making adjustments game-to-game trying to improve even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes.

Way better effort. Iām happy. The Clippers are aggressive and punch you in the mouth, we stood up to it, played with effort, clawed back from deficits twice.
Wemby played much better, high energy, rolled aggressively and wasnāt wasteful with the ball. Jeremy had a good game. If folks could have hit an open jumper, this would be a win.
Iām also very curious if we stick with Barlow as the third big. I really think Barlow is pretty good, and plays with high energy.
I think we should try the Wemby experiment as Victor PG, maybe he could pass to Sochan more than Sochan pass to him.
point sochan is my friend. we do need a backup point whose a threat to score
Maybe we win if Pop calls a timeout in that 16 point run by the Clips but heās too worried about the crowd booing Kawhi Leonard.
Played really well tonight. They didn’t get the dub tonight, but I really like the aggressiveness they showed. If they keep playing like this, they’re definitely gonna turning the tide

Much better game, but please never play Barlow at center again without either Vic or Collins on the floor too, unless game is over. That period was the game lost.
Say what you want about point sochan, should atleast be positive tonight, but he has handled the whole thing with maturity and was out there rallying guys and calming even keldon down tonight to get us back in it.
Idk why Malaki can get 20MINS every night with that terrible shooting and defense

Devin being agressive and getting to the hoop is what Iāve been waiting for. Iām so glad to see it happening.
Considering how poorly we shot this was… Actually one of the more fun games of the year and definitely the most encouraging performance during the losing streak. There have been other close games but a lot of the other ones only felt close because of unsustainable hot shooting versus actual good basketball.
But I thought they were real moments where the Spurs did exactly that in this game. Played good two-way basketball. Moving the ball, not turning it over, not making unforced errors, and a playingn Hard-nosed intense defense
It wasn’t perfect, obviously considering they still lost, and that third quarter had some really ugly moments where they reverted back to not properly rotating on perimeter shooters, but there is really a lot to like tonight
I thought Victor had his past performance since that Phoenix Suns game. His playmaking was definitely the best of his career tonight and it’s a tragedy It happened during such a cold shooting performance or he would have flirted with a triple double. He picked out so many open shooters and cutters at the rim. He was wonderful. For people curious how Victor would perform in a more minimal, slightly more traditional, role like Chet has with Oklahoma City. This was probably the best glimpse of that.
He played off of ball handlers, didn’t try to do too much, and was just very solid on both ends
Jeremy had a roller coaster game again but his play in that fourth quarter was tremendous and he was a huge reason why we got back into that game. When he’s aggressive He has a tendency to make mistakes in his new lead ball handler role, but the team I still think is better off with him being willing to attack the paint and use his size mismatch quick, early, and off and versus floating around on the perimeter where he doesn’t really add much offensively and him being 6’9 doesn’t really matter
Devin and Johnson both had moments where they were the worst players on the floor for the Spurs not named Malachi, and both had some really good individual moments too
I won’t live on too long about the rest of the Spurs, but I thought it was a good defensive evening that just lacked shot making.
And more positive news, the Charlotte felons won again, Maybe against all odds they going to win streak and make the playoffs.
You can’t convince me Sochan doesn’t purposely look off Wemby.
