Trae’s defense notably improved. Only thing I’m seeing is the really bad switch timing, nets and OKC guards would basically be given a free lane to the basket in the window when Trae stepped away and the next defender usually DJ would try to take the assignment. Only reason we even had an Ot with Brooklyn was because of this.

According to this chart Trae is a tiny bit statistically better than Dame, and the narrative so far this year is that Dame’s defensive issues have been a liability for the Bucks, but we’re using it to defend Trae’s defense? I’m sure there’s a more compelling way to convince that Trae has improved.
