Some of the top comments in other Giddey threads on this sub are pretty disappointing IMO.
Yeah he may not have done anything illegal with the consent laws and lack of criminal investigation at the moment… but at the same time, there’s been whole videos and pictures of him with this particular girl (excluding the other Snapchat picture with a different girl). And THAT girl was a SOPHOMORE in high school in 2022.
I know y’all love to get into the technicalities and legalities but just think about this… think about your daughter, sister, or friend, etc. being a sophomore/junior in high school intimately hanging around an adult male who is 20-21 years old. Is that not really weird and gross? This doesn’t even seem like one of those “she lied about her age to get into a club” one-off scenarios..
There’s a picture of him hugging her from behind. There’s a video where he refers to her as his “girl”. There’s a video of her where she says she’s “dating Josh” and doesn’t want to talk about it. For everyone that says it’s all just rumors or unsubstantiated – there’s a LOT more out there than you all pretend there isn’t.
We’ll see how this investigation plays out. I doubt this leads to anything criminal or even a severe punishment from the league. But still, it’s seriously fucking weird and gross.

This is a genuine question, why can’t people wait? Why can’t people have some patience and wait to see if there is actual proof? It’s like a competition for people to declare him innocent or guilty first just so they can do a victory lap later. We literally saw example of this earlier this week at the Canadian/US boarder where a group of people where certain that car crash was a terrorist attack. They tweeted non-stop and made videos about how America was under attack. Turns out dude was speeding and just crashed his car.
