They need Duren and Cade healthy all year round. Trade Bagley wiseman and Hayes get a veteran who can help change the culture and guide the young guns. This team is young. They need someone who can guide and introduce a winning culture.
Cade is trash
Winning cultures are hard to build. When players associate the team with losing and just as a stopping ground before they inevitably go onto greener pastures, this pitiful record is bound to happen. It's the draw back of constantly tanking
Am I only one with enough to admit this gm is terrible on Pistons. Draft duds and only guts to admit Cade is a bust xD. Said it don't get why everyone thinks he's a star he's overhyped and overrated. I like Duran, Sasser, Ausar, and Ivey their future. Cade has had long enough to develop he's not developing and or proven he's a franchise guy. Time to draft a cornerstone. Feel for Pistons fans this gm and team president are horrid. Stewart also isn't a great player at all. Time to scrap the biggest busts Cunningham move forward. I see these four guys as a positive and retool.
Cade isn’t really a PG to me
Cade Cunningham is just not a real guard. I am not even talking about playmaking and passing. I am talking about the turnovers. Cade absolute is a cancer in that end. The GM sucks!! He drafted mediocre players that were inconsistent and below-average offensively. Besides Duran, Ausar, and Ivey it's time to blow it up!!

Duren, Ivey, Harris, Bogey, Burks, Morris and Livers have all been injures/illness this year. Apparently Cade has been playing thru illness.
As a Piston fan it hurts tho 😞

Lack of spacing and identity
You got this kid coming back from injury expected to have a Luka Doncic type of impact straight away with a trash roster. Isn’t gonna happen straight away

One possible option to turn things around is to trade Cade as long as he's valuable enough.

– Cade & Wiseman for Schroder, Boucher and 2025 1st (Raptors)
– Cade, Joe Harris, Bojan, 2025 1st, Picks Swaps for LaVine, Carter & Caruso (Bulls)

Once we get our 3 veterans back which happen to be our shooters we’ll be exceptionally better. I see us going on a win streak later on in the season. But yes, hopefully this is our last season seeing these type of lows.
Cade to the spurs
The cade hate is pretty unwarranted. This roster is a joke. He's surrounded by non-shooters and his only good big man for pick and roll missed several games this season. He also missed most of his second season so this is basically his second season in terms of development. Plenty of star players struggled in their first couple seasons not sure why cade is getting bashed for it lol. And they just got monty who is trying to establish a brand new system of offense with a bad roster around cade. I'd give it at least another season before writing cade off…
Maybe because the frontcourt is comprised of two of the biggest busts this decade
Detroit needs a re-build from their re-build. And as a Cavs fan, I'm very happy the Pistons didn't pick Evan Mobley with the #1 pick 😅
Hard to build a winning culture in today’s NBA because the young players nowadays not only don’t work on their game but they are spoon fed which means they are anti accountability and discipline. Another thing to they players don’t work on their bodies so they can be healthy in the long term of their careers no more.
Because they are the detroit pistons… Thats all i have to say… They have no excuse anymore for such poor performance.
If we being real Cade is asked to do too much and he often tires out by the 4th quarter and that’s when the problems come. Realistically they have to start Ivey over Killian Hayes and move Cade to the 2 guard so that way they can alternate ball handling duties.
Cade is a bust straight up..
Cade hasn't been bad the team needs to build a better team around him there's no spacing he's the main focus of the offense and everybody focus on him.
It's unconventional coaching unlike traditional coaching. Letting guys go after there positions in practice can be a good thing sometimes but this coaching style I feared because Monty is just trying to play the guys that's plays the hardest but he doesn't understand you can't do that to developing players all the time. I think Ivey should of been starting a long with a front court of Wiseman and duren and asur starting at the 3 and go from there stop fluctuating the lineups
Cade's poor efficiency from the field is the direct result of the Pistons having no competent secondary shot creator and bad spacing. They need Bojan Bogdanovic back. Moreover, I do concede that trading for Bagley and Wiseman were both really poor decisions.
