Really need to sort out the back up point guard/playmaker role. Both Shake & Anderson were awful tonight, really killed us with terrible shooting, spacing, and turnovers. Other than that, Kings shot the lights out, always going to be hard to win when the 3 point disparity is that large. Also, turnovers & offensive rebounds were gross. We didn’t want to win the in season tournament anyway 🥲On to the next one.
Sad awooo
Ant drives finally rewarded with FTs. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
We really can be so careless with the ball wtf
On a positive note, TBJ did his thing tonight
Off to watch Matilda to clear my head
Don’t try to blame this all on the Kings being red-hot from 3.
Bad defense, sloppy turnovers, and still gave up way too many offensive rebounds. And frankly it could have been a lot worse if we didn’t have a somewhat favorable whistle.
Oh well. 1 out of 82. On to the next one.
Team got spanked start to finish, minus a quick rally in the 2nd. Horrible rotations, bizarre Finch stuck with Naz and Shake for so long. Defense remains incredibly easy to break apart with double high screens and a mid-range shooter.
To be honest, the stats don’t show it, but TBJ was probably our best player. Good hustle and defense. We tried rallying back multiple times but kings executed their game plan well.
Take care of business against MEM next. 🐺
Dunno what the answer is but this team needs way more scoring juice, particularly off the bench.
Milton has been bad but he’s not the sole problem. There’s just zero offensive firepower here outside of Ant and KAT right now.
Kings shoot lights out early from 3 and we couldn’t recover, but I think I’ve seen enough of Shake for awhile.
Kyle Conley Naz and Shake all played bad to terrible tonight
Aren’t gonna win that game especially when the kings shot that well
Only thing I’m worrying about from that L is shake. He was sooo bad.
Give every last Shake minute to Troy Brown. Other than that I don’t really care the Kings played out of their skin and we weren’t good enough to bring it back, Fox is a monster.
Look, we made a jump this year to one of the best teams in the league. We did not make the jump to the Jordan-led Bulls. We are going to lose some games but we still fought. On to the next one.
Felt like the team really battled back to end the first half after that insane shooting by Sacramento to start the game, but then just let go of the rope in the 3rd quarter
Ugly game, Sac bench players looking like Klay out there, oh well on to the next
offensive boards again will be the bane of this team. It’s inexcusable and needs to get figured out or we will have no shot.
TBJ should get all of Shake’s minutes going forward. Shake brings nothing of value to this team. And we desperately need Naz to start playing better. He’s been quietly slumping since the first 5 games of the year.
where is naz man. rudy was terrible too
some good stuff from TBJ though
Didn’t enjoy that
Bench played like garbage and the Kings played like gods
Onto the next one
3.6 roentgen.
Bound to have some shit games. They couldn’t miss. We can’t hit. Bummer it had to be an IST game.
Troy Brown Jr. > Shake
McDaniels absence killed us
Kings couldn’t miss
Transition Defense is suspect
Stop forcing anything but an alley-oop to Rudy.
Almost tied the game with 70-72 but SAC decided that giving up open corner 3 is better than letting Wolves go to the paint, and it worked for them. Honestly, can’t be mad, we were due such game. I feel like Philly and NY had a similar 3pt quality as SAC today but they missed everything. Tough to compete when their bench makes 9/16 from 3 and our bench can’t shoot.
Edit: despite an awful start KAT is quietly averaging 22 points on 50/40/90.
Bench really let them down tonight, naz and Kyle were completely non effective
Damn, 15 points in a quarter in 2023
Manifesting Caruso
Can’t continually leave shooters open in Q1 and think it’s ok.
Flow offense hard to watch when guys like Shake are the ones driving while they’re guarded.
Lazy game most of the night.
No emergency, but a wake up call for sure.
tough loss. Kings basically won it in the first, had all the momentum in the game.
Wolves aren’t quite at the level of execution of the top great teams. they still have sloppy turnovers and stop hunting good shots when shots aren’t falling. that has been true all season. ***Troy Brown tho…?***
on to the next one!
Just flat out an awful showing by the team today, looked like the immature wolves of old. Hopefully this is just a one off, on to the next one.
Karl.

Please just shoot the open three.
We had nobody that could guard fox. Rudy was dropping a bit too far when he probably should’ve hedged more. Kings are a tough matchup for us without Jaden. Gonna throw my Bill Simmons homer-posi spin on it and say we’re still undefeated at home when Jaden plays.
Really can’t stand Sabonis as a player. He’s constantly complaining to the refs even on clear fouls he commits. Hooks and pushes on backs for rebounds all the time. For all the talk the Warriors get for moving screens his dribble handoffs are almost as bad
Starting to get really irritated watching Kyle play. Absolutely refuses to shoot outside the paint and makes us play 4v5 when he’s out there. Wasn’t offering anything for us out there tonight. Troy Brown should have been in the 3rd/4th instead of Kyle because we desperately needed that energy he was providing. Troy’s shots haven’t been falling yet but he’s capable from 3 instead of Kyle just sitting out there being useless.
I get how Kyle is a good connective type player but he doesn’t really give us enough to justify his negatives. Gets cooked on defense by the more athletic players, he does fine when he matchups up with someone that doesn’t overpower him athletically but his serious lack of athleticism just kills him on certain plays.
The wildcard is stupid. Phoenix and Lakers have 3 of the 4 worst teams in the western conference in their group, of course scoring differential is going to be easy from that group.
Holy shit they took 18 more shots than we did.
Even with the massive free throw disparity in our favor, never gonna win if you throw away so many possessions while giving your opponents so many extra possessions.
I believed that we could’ve cut their 22 points lead in the 2nd, and we did. That successful challenge of the Kings on Fox’s 4th foul was huge for them.
And that sequence in the 3rd when we were 72-70, Ant missed a triple and then Kings went on another run was game. Really bad night for Kyle and Naz, Milton was non existent, TBJ played well out of bench.
Everything went well for them and bad for us, games like this happen on an 82 game season, we’ll be fine again. Sucks that happened on a tournament game. Now we have to win big against the Thunder next week.
Hey Sacramento is good and they come in like it was a playoff game and we just didn’t match that tonight . Still got close enough in the third but really to many roll players just not giving us positive min !!
Kings fan here. Love your guys’ fan base. I popped into the r/nba thread and it was the least toxic post game of the year. Hoping that y’all move East after expansion so I can root for the Nordic Kings.
