Victor Wembanyama started the last game vs. the Warriors with a jersey that spelled “Wembanyana” instead of the correct “Wembanyama.” He later changed into a jersey with the correct spelling.

  4. dys0n_giddey

  5. liquid9000

I dont know what kind of tone he said this with, but it’s very diva-esque in written form.

  6. Chaimbo_04

If he is alluding to someone being fired for not spelling his name right (only one letter) the man won’t make many friends. Some of the most entitled bullshit I think I’ve heard.

  7. HowlAtTheSky

The biggest shame is his shooting percentages, work on that before wanting someone fired for a simple mistake

  8. Threshyyyyy

Like it happens but i really don’t like his attitude on that.

  9. openlatenight

This seems like a fairly easy mistake to make, I’m not sure if I read that jersey ten times my brain wouldn’t just autocorrect the one misspelled letter.
Wenbanyana really saying it’s a shame after his performances lately? Pretty funny

  10. CasualHindu

Lol did this man really insinuate that someone should lose their job over this? What a clown

  11. I mean i would be mad too if I got bullied by 6’3″ guards all night and lost my 11th game in a row lol

  12. LordStark01

Are they going to fire him when he gets dunked on or something? Is that how they work?

  13. Shirotashi

He is saying it in a way as if he expected the person to be fired. Now that is a real shame.

  14. herring80

Trying to increase his TS% by firing shots at the equipment manager

  15. cletoreyes01

OH BOY THE HATE TRAIN IS FIRING UP AND THE TEAM AS A WHOLE AIN’T EVEN GOOD YET

  16. trustprior6899

Is the quote out of context or is he wishing someone would get fired for this? Dude, we all have bad days; hell, Wemby shoots below 40% some nights. Doesn’t mean he should be fired.

  17. bandwagonguy83

I had to read the two spellings six times to spot the mistake.

  18. DamnStupidFlanders

  21. shortsermons

  22. Impressive_Blood3512

This is the same sub that were lambasting Americans’ unwillingness to pronounce names and calling for nba announcers to be basically fired from their job for making the same mistake lol and now people are mad.

  23. n and m next to each other on the keyboard

kinda sounds like he thinks someone should be fired? That’s pretty fucken harsh

  24. Hmm I took this totally different. Maybe it’s because I’m used to people who speak English as a second language but to me it came across as this:

“I don’t know if somebody (the person in charge of quality control/the person who should be one was checking) was fired (past tense so no one was doing quality checks tonight), but the Spurs did their job.”

Since it’s all past tense it seems to me that he’s not calling for someone to get fired, but rather muse why it happened in the first place. He did really care that his name was wrong though haha

  25. MikeyBastard1

Damn some people were really looking for ANYTHING no matter how miniscule to hate on Vic lmao

This is such a minute nothing. Some of you acting like bro killed someone in the streets

  26. Coming off like a dick when it was prob an honest mistake.
