I don’t really see a change myself. I’m not a shot doctor, though, and I trust Blake when he says it’s changed — but at least it’s not a Fultz situation where it looks totally different, whatever the change was it has to be a minor one.

I remember around Summer League there being some discussion about him increasing his release speed. That could explain why his shot has been off ever since.

His shot form has not changed. And it is flawed.

Will on his pod has referenced Gradey not doing well as per NOAH metrics in practice (shot arc, consistency, etc) so that may be a contributing factor. Add in the difference in NBA distance and the fact that NBA shooters have to be able to get it off in super difficult shot windows nowadays (where a guy like Matt Thomas is automatic when open but could never be as viable as a Redick for example)
Could explain the shooting slump. Everyone at all levels will suck performance wise when they are trying to incorporate new things and learn on the fly. A dip in performance followed by improvement beyond his previous ceiling as a shooter hopefully happens

This is such trash reporting. Leave the kid alone. Sounds like something teacher would say at a parent-teacher interview.
I think it’s fine if we bitch in this sub, but why the media fixation… can you chill out? Dude turned 20 years old a couple days ago.
He wasn’t even a top 10 pick and media is wondering why he isn’t Klay Thompson 16 games into his rookie year.

We need to hire Dave Hopla back again. I don’t know if any raptors fans remember this guy being our shooting coach in the mid 2000’s
