I didn’t know there could be a worse ft shooter than Shaq but here comes Mitch

  2. Sad_Hungry

Mind you the league average for centers is 73 percent

  3. Goatlikejordan

He said he worked on trying to get more arc on his ft shooting in the offseason. Not sure what he and his trainer worked on but it’s not working

  4. My guy needs to take Clyde’s advice and start doing suicides whenever he misses practice FTs.

Mitch still wilts under the pressure of FTs, which arguably worst then his approach/form.

  5. Gotta weigh his defense vs his offense. I personally want more from our 5 but some people are content.

centers just arent good at shooting free throws. im still seeing a lot of improvement out of him.

Everything but this has improved. If I’m one of the coaches, I’m asking him to shoot with one hand or underhand like Rick Barry. Statistically it’s a better shot. Pop got Sochan to shoot with one hand

  8. He shot 60% from free throws his rookie season, then it got worse progressively each year.

This is a downright liability. Mitch is fantastic on boards and defense but he’s gotta at least be a 60-70% FT shooter. Developing some softer hands to catch would also help.

Cost us tonight’s game. Somehow he needs to get better

  11. I don’t know what we can do to be honest. He’s the leader of our defense so he has to play but yeah this is ugly.

The Laws of Physics: You need arc on your shot

His FTs were actually pretty decent his rookie year, weren’t they? Then it went downhill after that

    Shoot free-throws underhanded!

    “…but I won’t do that.”
