Raining threes! Lonnie Walker, Royce O’Neale and Nets set home three-pointer record

The Brooklyn Nets fell down bad to the Chicago Bulls early in this game but then the 2nd quarter came and things really turned around in a big way. Lonnie Walker and Royce O’Neale led the way, and when it was all said and done the Nets had hit 25 three-pointers. It was a franchise record for a home performance.

In all, this game got off to a rough start, but the Nets were resilient in fighting back and ultimately walking away with a pretty easy win. Day’ron Sharpe was massive off the bench and this was a full-team performance.

  1. Sheesh in the beginning and wow in the end!

Brooklyn played arguably the worst first quarter in a long time against a Bulls team in the edge of a rebuild and looked like a bunch of individuals that made them be down by 20+ points 😨….

But then Brooklyn pulled a full 360 and played their best quarter of the season in the second and bounced all the way back to take a lead they never surrendered for the rest of the game 🔥…

Not to mention they set a new franchise record at home with 25 three point buckets which is the second most ever in Brooklyn history 🔥…

Spencer Dinwiddie and Lonnie Walker helped lead the offensive charge while Dayron Johnson Dorian Royce and Mikal all played solid defense and got a lot of rebounds….

Overall after a really bad start Brooklyn finished the back to back very strong and now have their last tournament game on Tuesday against Toronto. Let's go 😎 🔥….

  2. It was good to see Brooklyn take care of business this weekend especially on a back to back and tonight was a rough start. But they had a 360 type of second quarter where everything was clicking and they were playing as a solid unit….

  3. We're playing .500 ball in spite of the numerous injuries to many of our key rotation players. JV is playing with, basically, with 8 players. I'm concerned. He should be using the bench more but what do I know…I'm just a spectator and JV get paid for his decisions.

  4. You may be underestimating the Dinwiddie market—assuming he can keep up post-Simmons stats, he’s the obvious Malcom Brogdon alternative for playoff team who needs a 30yo short-term fix for secondary playmaker with positional PG size. Heat would make a lot of sense given Gabe Vincent’s gone and Kyle Lowry is 87 years old.

  5. Real nice comeback after the first quarter!!…. the Bucks are 1 up on the Nets though in comebacks, they were down 26 in the 3rd quarter to Portland and rallied to win by 6 in the afternoon game

  6. Boy I miss watching Cam Thomas. A win is a win definitely not my favorite type of basketball to watch. The Bombs away boom or bust three-point strategy that Doug loves to watch. I just don’t think it’s a good long-term strategy and pretty much never works against the really good teams or in the playoffs unless you have Steph Curry. However, like Doug said when they go in boys, it thrilling.
I’ve watched basketball, played basketball, and coached basketball you can count on one hand teams that have been long term successful relying on threes and small ball lineups. It’s just just not a long term successful strategy despite whatever easy math Doug is talking about. Where is the history of success with that strategy? How many championship teams? Can only think of the golden state warrior and maybe the suns with Nash.

  7. Love the efforts tonight, they didnt give up down by 21!

We got lucky royce actually shot well for once. Love the rotation without claxton as well, look at all the offensive prowess this team has, far more effective on both ends of the floor. Our defense looked much improved as well.

Also concerned JV is running the starters into the ground and won't play deep into the bench on a blowout win.

Bulls need to fire their coach, but we'll take it a win is a win
