Surely Walsh can get some NBA minutes with no Jrue, right?

Jordan Walsh getting minutes is less about whether we have minutes available and more about whether he is ready for those minutes.

If he’s not up to speed with defensive rotations, recognizing assignments and matching up, playcalls and positioning then the only thing that will come from him playing nba minutes is a hit to his confidence.

We’ll never know how well or poorly Jordan is doing in training until Joe and co. get more candid about the fringe players.

Walsh could be struggling. No one knows.

I wanted Jaquez or Andre Jackson Jr so bad and now they’re rotation players on our rivals. Wish we’d understand why the celtics didn’t draft a four-year vet who could potentially contribute from day 1

there just aren’t a lot of minutes to go around on the wing rn even with jrue out. banton was fine last night, brissett will get an extended look before walsh does. it’s gonna take some time.

I think people really underestimate the jump from G League to NBA. Queta was runner up MVP in G League last year and you can tell he still has a ways to go before being a consistent rotational player. As another commentator said it’s not about whether or not the minutes are available it’s about if he’s ready for them, let Walsh soak up minutes and opportunities in Maine while he still can

He need to play in the G league. He’s gonna get cooked if we just put him out there
