[King] Joe Mazzulla said he apologized to Andre Drummond for hacking him the way the Celtics did, but the team wanted to maximize its chances in the IST. He told Billy Donovan about the ramifications of the Nets-Raptors game to explain that the Celtics did not necessarily just need to win by 23.

just imagining Joe yelling the intricate IST rules and tiebreakers to Billy after the game to explain
He also said thank you for missing 4 straight free throws.

Classy act. I love Joe.
It’s the first year so I’ll give it a pass but point differential as a tie breaker is stupid. When a star player gets hurt in a blowout game one of these years it’s gonna blow up in their face. Hopefully they find a better way next year
Yeah it’s pretty fun trying to keep track of all the shit and being invested in random November games, but that 4th quarter was pretty gross, albeit very fun.
Joe is a psycho I love him
Sorry you suck at free throws
If the 100-point record of Wilt Chamberlain will be broken some day, I believe it will be in an IST group game, where a hot-hand star player try to push the point differential in the garbage time.
I feel for Billy. He had mentally checked out and taken the L
The Bulls had no skin in the game. Joe was using hack a Drum and playing the starters till late. Billy prob thought Joe was sticking it into what has been a challenging time for the Bulls
That shit was exciting asf, especially cause the Bulls were clearly pissed and their second unit kept playing. Glad it worked out in our favor! S/o Brooklyn!!
Fantastic coaching from Joe
They really tried to act like they didn’t care about the IST but they clearly cared
I was honestly surprised when they did that.
