Definitely a flop but wish they were actually consistent with this rule

  2. It’s definitely a flop. Just wishing these calls are more consistent.

  3. I knew he was going to get it but its still funny he got it with how refs are refusing to call this on more obvious flops so inconsistent smh

  4. nerdeagle2

This is obviously a flop but how do the refs decide which ones to call and when to call it?

  5. Absolutely a flop, but also I can’t belive that’s the one they call

  6. JacksMedulaOblongota

Ok I made the joke but with how late the whistle was I think Bron was chirping at the official on the way down court. So instead of letting it go he decided to call the flop.

  7. This looks more like he failed to draw a charge than flopping. Are players not allowed to try and draw charges anymore with the new rule?

This is a flop. However, I feel like when most people think about flopping and wanting to get flopping out of the game, 80-90% of the time we are thinking about offensive players flopping. Am I wrong with this? The head snaps and arm flails that are still constantly called fouls is what drives me crazy.

If you just don’t call fouls on a defensive player that flops, I feel like there is already punishment built in with the fact the the offensive player is open/in a very good position. For offensive players that flop, there is no negative consquence if they don’t get the foul that they are trying to bait usually. I snap my head back and continue on if it isn’t called. There’s no risk which is why it is so prevalent.

I guess my point is that I feel they should be focusing way more on offensive flopping than they have been.

  9. Genuine question, why did they wait until the Lakers had possession and were on offense to call the foul?

Is that protocol? I’m so confused

Looked like LeBron wasn’t trying to flop and just expected to “let himself go down” from the bump he expected.

He knew he got caught on that one, didn’t even protest.

  11. I’ve seen him leflop harder. Surprised they called that.

  12. DrunkenMasterII

Of all the flops in his career he gets called for this?

He probably only got called because he was complaining about not getting a call in his favour, but that’s even worse. Either it’s a flop and you call it or it’s not and you don’t.

This was soft of him to fall on that, but there was still contact, it’s embellishment, but he’s not creating an unnatural movement either, or a dangerous one. It’s just weak and doesn’t deserve a call.

  13. isn’t this the guy that charged lebron after h got punched lol

  14. LiftHeavyFeels

Just looks like a bad draw charge attempt to me. Anyone who has actually played ball knows this is a relatively common looking attempt at a charge at practically every level.

I don’t think this meets the STEM criteria and if it does you should be calling a bunch of these every game on block/charges

  15. If they’re gonna call this then this happens several times every game. I don’t mind the call. But also be consistent

  16. BrokeHorcrux

These refs still suck. Offensive players flopping is more of a problem then defensive ones. It was better a no call.

On one hand lebron getting called for a flop after those Miami years is good hoops.

On the other hand this was just a charge that lebron was just trying to draw? This is a perfectly normal play that I’d hope that most players want to be making. I’d honestly be disappointed if a Celtic didn’t do this. Putting your body on the line for a charge is one of the most respectable plays in basketball.

  18. What the hell is happening in professional sports right now… can’t celebrate big plays in the NFL, T’s being handed out like candy in the NBA. Shit is becoming unwatchable

  19. Reasonable_Bed7858

NBA refs are so inconsistent. Should be against the rules with how bad they are with consistent calls.

  20. Okay but why was that whistle so late that the entirety of both teams had already crossed half court?

  21. The nephews on Facebook are gonna go wild with this one.

  22. This was actually in the 80th percentile for flops. Weird they called this one…

  23. Schristie007

Pretty meh on that one but some of the ones they’ve been letting slide lately make no sense

  24. NetworkVegetable7075

Definitely a flop but I’ve seen worse this year and it’s never called. Refs need to be more consistent with this

  25. svanaoi996bsjak

Of all they potential flops they called this..

  26. EpicMusic13

And fucking Draymond doesnt get any, what the fuck

  27. Apart-Volume9340

Beef Stew owns him, he fears the hearty broth and would rather lay down in defeat than put his body at risk.

  28. noerapenalty

I can’t wait to read all the Lebron truthers comments

  29. The fact that the refs enforced the rule on Lebron James of all people and not the other egregious flops from this season is just funny to me lol.
