Most unpopular suggestion I can imagine in time/space
Kuminga for Giddey straight up?
If I suggested this in the offseason or second week of the season folks would probably say yes more than no. Alas he out banging high schoolers in his off days smh (not to completely play jury on dude but looks like the family has been coached based on the reporting which leads be to think yeah he is probably in the wrong there).
But in a vacuum I think that’d work for both squads. Giddey is the odd man out of their developmental group around SGA… Chet, Jalen, Cason, Jaylen, Dort he fits least best around Shai imo who is best on ball (so is Giddey). What Kuminga will probably become soon will be very useful to them on both ends… a high upside two way wing who slots in beside Jalen Williams wonderfully to keep his defensive workload down. Giddey would immediately be that in between forward between Dray and Wiggs and a GREAT primary ball handler to effectively keep Steph off ball to his hearts content.
If only Giddey didn’t do gross stuff smh.
If this is the absolute worst we could get despite the tougest schedule and injury… are we sleepy headed on this squad cuz we got regular season over reaction syndrome?
I keep oscillating… but we are in an okay spot. Not great but being two games under. 500 in light of so many things going wrong that won’t stay that way I kinda feel we should be just riding the wave abd respecting the circumstance a bit more than we do in the big picture.
