I feel like they didn't fill the center position on purpose. Couldn't they have put someone on Wagner to follow him everywhere, deny the ball, something?
I feel that the rebound issue is systematic.
If the plan is to grab the ball and run, when the rival team shoots, you have players looking up to run instead of boxing out.
when you are the worse team in rebound and one of the worse in defence then the coach is just not good . every team no matter the roster can do good defense that will be good enough against all but the elite teams . the look lost on the defense side . and this is coaching. now if he git front office saying we don't xare just split the minutes. than this is something else. bit what coach will stay in such environment he is killing is reputation.
Rebuild or not, the Wizards are't going anywhere as long as JP is a starter. His defense is atrocious, so he shouldn't be anything more than a spark-plug off the bench, the same as he was in GS.
Start Galo over Gaff. Let him play a tired center or a back up center

I am old school and because of that the name Wes Unseld generates memories of the coaches Father grabbing rebounds and feeding Earl the Pearl and Elvin Hayes to name a few which led to our only championship banner. But that was then and now is now it’s time to move Wes to the front office and find a coach.
In the NBA we the fan base know you can’t or it’s not nice to use the shunned four letter that rhymes with bank 😅 but how can one not classify at what we’re seeing.
