The thing I don’t like is Scottie forced into being a floor spacer that’s not even touching the ball most possessions because Pascal can’t hit a 3 point shot to save his life but yet we wanna somehow develop Scottie this year while also winning but we’re just mid so we’re really doing each player a disservice because Pascal needs to be on a contender winning another championship. To the people saying Scottie needs to be more aggressive don’t realize that fact because the offence with the starters involve 3 non shooters Dennis included but yet we give way more control to Dennis than he should have while sacrificing Scottie. But this game shows you Scottie is that guy on both end’s especially on defence.
I’m tired of this narrative about Pascal. He keeps this team in the game for the first three quarters while Barnes does nothing, and it’s garbage. Pascal is a better player then Scotty. Scotty finally starts to do something in the 4 th and he the one that won this game. It’s a garbage narrative I’m sick of seeing.
It is a roller coaster of emotions being a Raptors fan these last few years. Love them but really??!! My heart & blood pressure cannot take them some nights.
A big difference between the Cleveland game and the Phoenix game is that Cleveland is all about the three ball. The Raptors took away the three early in that game and so Cleveland took it to them inside and got the best of them in the paint. In the second half Cleveland started getting more room on the perimeter because their inside game was so effective and then the three ball started dropping. Whereas in the Phoenix game they were pretty much trying to take it to the hoop from the start and the Raptors defended the paint very well. And unlike Cleveland, Phoenix didn’t have the answers around the perimeter.
