Nope. He was out of line. Should have been given a TECH! He was an arrogant dbag!
He runs no plays, he should have tre starting and he’s too worried about booing opponents and hurting peoples feelings. He’s gotten too soft in his old age.
If we want to say Pop is not wrong then we must admit that his style of minutes restriction will frustrate and push away young players and vets who want to win.
Pop does deserve some of the criticism but not hate. We all say and do dumb things. He has proven to be a good man and a winner. He deserves some patience too. He will figure it out.
Peopel paying $50 – $400 on tickets and nobody is hurting anybody yet he thinks he has to right control how they act. He out of touch from reality.
He's not coaching them. It's just a bunch of young dudes out to "get theirs " on offense while being lazy on defense. Whether he's tanking or unable to reach these dudes… he is not coaching. Period.

To the haters: Y'all think there is some magic? Some fairy dust that causes you to win. Look at the "great" coaches and you will find great players. Pop has an excellent basketball mind but also know how to build relationships. He is a leader and knows how to develop leaders. Spurs player development is second to none, who do you think makes that happen? We are going to have a great team. We play very fast and move the ball. That is how to win in today's NBA. We have collected sufficient talent and future picks to finally make a run.
Concerning the booing of "the player not to be named", it is time to move on, let it go and look to the future. I am still pissed off, but a new era is here.

Pop isn’t winning. In fact the team has been in steady decline. By all accounts the team has got more talented. Someone had to take the blame. Maybe we don’t need a “better” coach. Perhaps we need “different”.
I think you're spot on about Pop. I disagree with some of the things he says politically as well as the Kawhi thing but I still think he's a great coach and was a gracious person when I met him in person.
There isnt anything any newcomer or so called Spurs fan can tell me to have me change my mind about POP. Man knows what he's doing otherwise the owners wouldve replaced him by now. So again….Haters are gonna HATE. FIN.
When it comes to nba i will always trust and listen to pop. But his “political” topics he speaks about he is almost always uninformed and wrong unfortunately
Oh and ask Dwight Howard if you are not paying attention or playing grabass in one of POP's huddles…and you're being paid millions as a PRO…..F-Bombs anyone? Who remembers that in an all star game of the 90s?

I can tell you right now, alot of the dislike towards Pop started around the time "The Bubble" was going on. When he started voicing his opinions on politics. He started showing signs of going "woke" and alot of people here is Texas (conservative state) don't like that very much.

I don’t like pops rotations. Spurs had picks in g league that became starters on other teams.
I know a couple people that actually understand the science of basketball. They all hate whenever I talk about Gregg Popovich… without any valid points.
You are all acting that the players you are developing will stay as a spurs. SAS is a cheap a$$ org and i wont be surprise if wemby will leave for a bigger market. The only reason why spurs have 5 championships is because of TD. Popovich is not that that great of a coach, i saw him choke during playoffs and just got bailout by manu and TD.
