Thats so nice of Mitchell. Loneliness is tough in general, but man it seems really brutal for old people.

This coach is *the* reason Mitch is playing basketball. [Mitch only got into basketball in high school because this coach heard about some really tall kid walking around the neighborhood and went recruiting.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKzAER2rJ5A)

Great story and great to hear Mitch is paying it forward for the guy who changed his life.

  3. This is a massive act of kindness from Mitchell. The coach must have been a hell of a person for him to get an offer like this, too.

Mitchell Robinson pulling a reverse Blindside to get a white grandpa.

Fuck yeah. Knicks as an organization has come a long way

(we got a long way to go but a lot better than the fucking shit storm we had for the better part of two decades)

From the way he plays to just the kind of person he seems to be, Mitchell is one of my favorite guys right now

Damn what a character move from Mitchell. Don’t know much about him outside the league but this says a lot.

I am now a Mitchell Robinson fan and I want nothing but to see him prosper

Mitchell is a real one. RIP to his wife🕊️. This is such a beautiful act and speaks volumes about Mitchell’s character🫶🏽.

Our longest tenured guy currently, always been a class act and home town favorite – happy we drafted him.

This combined with the “I wash my hands” story from yesterday just perfectly encapsulate who Mitch is. What a hilarious, strange, wonderful human being.

This is an incredibly heartwarming story though, my god. The man is a 25-year-old professional basketball player in New York and he’s living with his elderly high school basketball coach. Tells you not only what type of person Mitchell is, but how much this guy must mean to him.

    Damn glad he’s a Knick.

  14. Holy shit. That’s amazing. What a classy action from Robinson

That’s genuinely one of the nicest things I’ve heard of a celebrity doing. Losing a spouse is impossible but that’s some great medicine.

Also thanks FiOS for making me miss this part of the game, fuckers

Wow I’m moved by that. What an amazing thing to do.
