The Heat play elite playoff team defense and Spoelstra knows how to force players into their worst tendencies. They are definitely a team to be fearful of matching up with. Bam is a beast but the Celtics have Heat killer Derrick White. Jaylen Brown can always derail the Celtics against the Heat though if he goes iso-mode. That's X factor in this matchup. Will the Jays play selfish?

The Raptors aren't gonna give up Siakam for Wiggins, and Kuminga ain't nothing. Wiggins is at Harrison Barnes's level… maybe worse.

As a Pacers fan and as a Ben Mathurin fan I am exasperated with seeing how Ben has been handled this year.
Last night against Miami we allowed 142 points and it was a complete disaster.
When Haliburton scores 40 or more. The team is 0-2
When he scoresd 30 or more the team is 2-4.
This #1 fast pace offence with the worst defence is complete nonsense and just not gonna cut it and not generating wins.
Ben Math is playing 4-5 minutes less per game than last year and while his D is not very good it has improved slightly. There is no reason to cut down his minutes. His boards and assists are up. TO are down and shooting percentage slightly better also.
The team then when out and got a diminutive 6'3 guard this summer in Bruce Brown who is not a scorer to take minutes away from him. He's a good player don't get me wrong… But no star potential. Just a role player. No size… how many 6'4 and under guards do we need on this team???
Same dumb move of when they trade for Nwora and then trade Duarte away… (prefered we kept Duarte). Meanwhile Nwora NEVER sees the floor. Just dumb. Duarte could shot create. We could have used that against the Heat last night.. Dumb.
We are in win mode now with Carlisle and some fans completely enamored with Haliburton's stats and win now mode ( yet we are not winning more, record is less than last year at this time) and Buddy a 30 year old jacker-upper who I like, but is not the future is also eating minutes away. And the one player who SHOULD play more is Nesmith but he doesn't either.
Pacers don't appear to know what they're doing. Mathurin's growth is stomped, Pacers need a#4 PF real bad, maybe trade him to a team that needs a #2 and has a good #4… I'm open to ideas here.
You have to unleash Benn or trade him. Him standing in the corner 3 waiting for passes that never come is not working and stunting his growth and development and not helping Pacers win.
Meanwhile just like he did in Dallas, Carlisle will be enamored with his new high usage toy ( Doncic then) and Haliburton now…. And yet, the end result will be the same. Great stats, great offence… bad losses. No playoffs.
Please trade Ben Mathurin or unleash him so he can fulfill his destiny.
Ben has superstar potential and this year, he doesn't smile anymore. There is no more swag to his game, doesn't even argue calls much with the refs. Doesn't communicate with teammates. He is not having fun. He feels blocked.

I’m a Celtics fan, Giannis will always scare me in a 7 game series. But dame and his defense will turn into a serious problem, he’s like a traffic cone most of the time and he’s just getting older which means what lateral quickness he does have left will be getting worse later in the season. He can turn into an easy matchup for the Celtics, if they can get a switch making dame guard Jaylen or Jayson throughout the game I’ll be 100% confident. And if they pick on dame defensively throughout the game, then his legs will get more tired and tired progressively through the series.

The weird thing about the east is the heat probably don’t beat the sixers in 6, but the heat would give Boston more of a run for its money than Philly will. Match ups matter and Embiid struggles vs the Boston wings, Maxxey struggles against White, but no one on the heat give those 2 really any issues.
Tho this is the best matchup vs Boston Philly has had in years because they finally have a bunch of athletic wings to throw at Tatum and Brown who can actually play on offense. Still not sure if it’s enough.

I know he does not want to jinx it, but Celtics have shown the most so far and they are no1. Doesn't have to mean anything going forward and later in playoffs. Denver has a lot of problems staying healthy and without Aaron Gordon it seems everyone can have 130 points against them. Phoenix has similar defensive problems. Tonight, against Denver without Murray and Gordon Denver scored 41 point just first quarter.
LaVine to Atlanta for Dejounte. The 2 PG experiment is not really working out, they both need the ball to be effective and staggering them is not a solution. LaVine can stretch and slash when Trae drives and kicks. Zach won't need to handle the ball pretty much at all, especially since anytime he dribbles the ball more than twice it's a dead possession. Bulls get a pg they desperately need and Dejounte can flourish without having to share the ball with Young. Derozan is a good closer, but can't consistently carry the team all game. Obviously I'm a bulls fan lol
