If there's anything these last two games showed me, it's that the Bulls MUST rebuild. Even with LaVine out both games and DeRozan being out one, the more and more time and freedom these young kids are getting and the way they're making the most of their opportunities is encouraging. I'm pro-rebuild and my stance isn't changing, knowing this front office this will really give them the ammunition to retool which i wholeheartedly disagree with. It's time to make the smart choice, these kids are on fire, but give them every opportunity to develop most importantly.
So…. just bench Zach until he is traded?

The lesson I took away from this: Our young guns (Coby/PWill/Ayo) need more responsibility. They play the game differently from how the vets conduct our offense and defense. The team goes where the best players go, right? Well the vets go out for a night and what happens: the young guys buy into Billy's system AND execute. People must remember Coby was a lottery pick for a reason. Injuries and wishy washy roles kept him in flux until he got his groove last season and now might break out. Garpax was going to choose between Coby and Garland for whichever fell to us and we may be seeing those fruits. Too bad we don't have Lauri.
Super impressed with this squad, Iām so happy for Coby! Canāt lie I was so frustrated and almost done with this team a week ago. Maybe the future isnāt as dark as we thought!!
I was telling people to look at the potential of Coby since day 1. He balled out tonight. Let's go Bulls!

I am honestly a little excited for this rebuild or retooling thats upcoming cause unlike a lot of people i dont think akme is bad at all, i just dont think they knew what to do after the Lonzo situation and didnt know what new direction they should take. I also do think they were a little too prideful and i think with a team that is pretty much theirs from the start outside of coby, could find it easier to build it to their vision without an all star that they pretty much had to keep.
I think having DeMar and Lavine sit out games will help them understand that team play is the way for this team to win. I hope they understand that by just watching games on the bench.

about the bulls shooting: everyone's shot looked worse in the start of the season even tho we got a new shooting coach. What we fail to factor in was that maybe it was BECAUSE of a new shooting coach. What people, including myself, didnt realize was that maybe the reason their shots where worse was because they were using mal adaptive forms before. forms that worked but where not optimal what the new shooting coach did hopefully, was correct this causing their shooting to become worse in the short term but better for them in the long term. Thats the funny thing about growth is that sometimes you gotta get worse before you get better. atleast thats my theory.
A win is a win but this is NOT a long term solution especially when the Bulls match up against the elite teams. Donāt be surprised if Zach goes on a tear once he returns now that the narrative is that heās ānot a winning playerā from various organizations. See and thatās the thingā¦ Other ball clubs are going to spin this bs about Lavine to get the asking price downā¦ Iām definitely about to ball out upon my return if Iām Lavine. If Zach isnāt traded by the deadline expect for him to tap into that next level like how he always does after the All Star break š„ Oh I canāt wait š I keep telling yāall this is really about Zach and Billyā¦ Choose wisely ā ļø This conflict goes back to Billyās benching of Lavine and teams took note of that. Iām not surprised that this narrative is being floated around the league but itās up to Zach to change the narrativeā¦ We seen this with Westbrook, Harden, Durant and Lebron just to name a few and weāre about to find out what it is with Dame now that heās with arguably the leagueās best player. How will you respond? Will you be along the Weabrooks and Hardens or will you be along the Durants and Lebron?
Coby gets it now. Play fast, move without the ball & use his speed with improved ball handling to his advantage, heās faster than a lot of guards in the league & taller.
People are so quick to forget Coby broke a few rookie records and had many other great games besides this…only difference is he's far more consistant on both ends now. If Levine wasn't on the team we would have seen far more of these games
Now everyone is geeked over White lol. Of course heās going to have the green light if one or both of our leading scorers arenāt on the floor. A win is a win but this is NOT a long term solution. I will say this thoughā¦ This style of play would be interesting if White was the two guard alongside Emmanuel Quickley via a Derozan trade to the Knicks.
