Personally, I am worried. But it's worth being patient for the remainder of the season.
I think Jalen sometimes tries to be more aggressive and as a result plays more selfish and doesn't make the right plays. He doesn't know how to balance two extremes. He's either very passive or very 'selfish'. Add to that his shot selection isn't great, his passing is questionable, and his handling is average at best.
I do want him to succeed and really hope he turns it around.

It's a shame he's not a number 2 when I been saying it people on the chat people got mad he goes in a corner and hide fans like that he's flashy bring his butt off the bench

I think the starters need to play majority of the first quarter, especially when we're playing well and building a lead. Those substitutions at the 6min mark doesn't do anything for us.

What Jalen needs to do is let other superstars around the league inspire him. I watched the Dallas game and analyzed Luka. Luka is nowhere as athletic nor fast as Jalen but he is one of the top 3 scorers in the league. Jalen is going to have to learn to change speeds. That will help him get to the line more and in return it should open the game up to use his athleticism and speed more.
Jalen and Jabari having hardtime to accept new team hierarchy. The sooner they accept the better they will play.
Year 3 & he still has the same weaknesses. Anyone who isn’t worried at least some, is a homer.

Jalen and jabari should know their places this is alperens team. They should play for the team.
Bari need more shots, im ready to move on from him jalen.. he is not a good decision maker or ball handler to play the point to utilize his quickness like a Darrin Fox, and he he is to much of a streakey shooter to play the two. I think we meased up his development, should have started him at the point when we drafted him
Not worried about Jalen…he is getting paid millions.. I'm worried about Houston fans we get losses. Sengun, Smith and Eason are great. Green should be 6th man where he could be successful as a scorer and nothing more. Hopefully Ime uses Amen Thompson and Whitmore so they could develop as starters. We can't be wasting those 2 top 20 picks especially there is a spot open for Jalen's SG starting position.
Some group in the club may trying their best to build around Jalen but Jalen is not mature for the game yet and never know when will? Al-p the man. Fred knows ,we know. everybody even that group of people who supports Jalen to be the man knows its Al-p. They shouldn't fight with that shit.

He need to “read the room” he gotta ball we want him to ball but if he don’t we got Cam waiting and ready
1. Jalen need to play better, period. No excuses
2. I think he and Goon should be in the PNR, Fred should be off ball, he's a better spot up shooter. Jalen puts more fear in defenses than Fred does coming off screens. So when Green and AlP do that thing and Goon swings it is too Fred and not Green. Having Jalen stand around to watch isn't good for the team. Or as the host started in earlier shows, put Bari on the with Green with the bench unit. If not Jalen is 1 vs 5 cuz that bench has no offensive pop. Stone needs to go get a bench scorer cuz Goon,JG4 and Bari need eachother.
If I'm the coach
1. I'd put Jalen off the bench. Put in Cam Whitmore instead.
2. Train Sengun and FVV to lob to Jalen, that is a weapon that Jalen excels in and would boost his confidence as a rotation player.
3. Teach all players to find bodies to box out on rebounds instead of just standing around waiting for the ball to bounce.
Ime should bench him again for a half this time. It should be pay for performance from now on since he's already on Year 3. I defended Jalen and others who are less than 2 years of season experience. But now he's on Year 3, I want performance.
He's not that guy. I'm sorry. Any NBA player who posts selfies after a loss is not that guy. I'm over his inability to create his shoot. Anthony Edward's light yrs ahead of him Scottie Barns also.
I’ve watched NBA for over two decades and never seen a player develop to a super star when his usage was already big but failed to produce during couple season. Many improved stars were underused player that still had a talent but didn’t had a chance to be consistent (ex. Harden, Kawahi, SGA, Bridges). High usage stars were great since the rookie year and they did refine their skill over time but you could clear see most of their games were there from the start (ex. Mitchell, Murray, Fracis, Ja, Beal, Wall, Iverson, Luka, Trae). I know you like to talk analytic but be honest that all the comparison you pointed out today had a huge praises from the media and coaches around the league even if their team sucked. Jalen was pretty much brushed off by everyone from the get go and when majority say he is not a good player we gotta really think about that.
Dude is an inefficient chucker with low BBIQ, and he hasn’t fixed his shooting motion. He keeps beginning his shooting motion from his hip and not his center.
He is a slasher without good finishing at the rim, he can’t shoot 3’s well, and he can’t handle the ball and make plays.
Year 3 is the make it or break it year. And right now he is showing he isn’t going to be a star, and if he doesn’t find a role he can be elite at, he will quickly fade away into obscurity.
In some matches, and especially in the last match, I lost hope in this team because of Jabari and Jalen's attitude towards Alp and others. They have a tendency to get into power struggles before having a winning team. Jalen wants a max contract and the ball in his hands. Winning or losing doesnt matter to him.Jabari wants to be the 1st core. His performance in the summer league gave him a lot of confidence, but as the season started, his confidence disappeared and he became quiet, but after playing a few games well, he began to open his mouth. In this team, I see two young people who do not care about winning unnecessarily, who are trying to be Batman, but in their current state, they cannot even be Robin. Its very sad that even the vets want to win so much, but they haven't been able to do anything for 2 years and they have no desire to win even though they constantly lose and are one of the 3 worst teams in the league. . And the team turns pathetically to the point guard to score, especially the center, whose primary job is not to score. And I think its a miracle that even Jokicin can make 8 assists in this team, because there is a team that scores with a bad percentage even in open three-pointers. They constantly hit the ball and go to the basket. And I think Jalen's move should be slowed down, he doesnt have enough ball control and big hands to keep up with his speed. He just needs to improve his three-pointer and shoot three-pointers with a good percentage from outside. There is so much more to write, but this is enough.
I agree with Jalens weaknesses but don't trade him yet, but start cutting his minutes or bench if he doesn't look right.
This Laker lost was a big team problem, even Sengun was bad missing alot of shots right at the basket. Frank is right, we can keep Jalen at a discount if he doesn't improve. He still has more talent than most, and I would'nt want him to awaken those abilities with some other team.
Last Year I could count on 1 hand the great games Jalen had, this year, its already been 5 games. He's gotten way better but his flaws will show more on a winning team. Definitely we want more because Alp is already at All-star level and Jalen is no where close.
