I would rather watch a tournament like this than a boring regular season game in years past.
A lot folks was hating on the in-season . They were worng 😂 I don’t this I have ever seen. Early season games this competitive ever . It’s damn near finals energy .. I love it ..
I do enjoy the longer series to see the back and forth from teams. But if you designed the NBA from scratch today with no care/sense of history, you could and arguably should make the case that the playoffs should be single-elimination, just like March Madness, and the regular season should be as short as possible. The NFL fell into that model because football is so brutal on the human body you can't play that many games even if you wanted to, but less truly is more. If it's down to just one game to decide it, everything becomes "can't miss." Yes it inherently increases the chance of upsets and flukes, but it makes it more compelling for everyone big picture. Even monetarily, look at the ratings NFL games yet, you can charge that much more for everything. But they won't do it at this point, too late to change.
This tournament is so rigged for the lakers to win it, celtics out kings out, knicks will probably beat the bucks tomorrow giving the lakers and easy run
