god i freaking love this team, all that talk about how bad our defense was, this game was needed, nesmith, brown, toppin, and mathurin all defended well!!

in other words, hali is a superstar and buddy is his splash brother!!

  2. JilJungJukk

I love how nuts the Pacers bench was going during those plays they sealed the game, immaculate vibes.

  3. Rivalry ended with the Bucks and Sixers. I only fear the Magic and Pacers

  4. Jayson1222

Despite some flaws, Adam Silver has been a great commissioner. He managed to make the regular season so much more fun and competitive through the NBA Cup and play-ins. His vision is insane

  5. shastmak4

Tyrese Haliburton is a top 5 player in the NBA this season. You can argue with your favorite uncle about it

  6. DjLionOrder

FUCK r/nba. I have rarely, if ever, chosen to watch the NBA over the NFL in December and I DO NOT REGRET FOR ONE SECOND.

This tournament is a massive win.

  7. gustavokh

Buddy Hield just said fuck them and went for the 3 pointer at the buzzer

  8. EatDeeply

    Hield was a +29 and Turner was a +22 in a 10 point win.

  9. This Pacers team is fun to watch and the crowd was electric

  10. shanmustafa

it was fucking ELECTRIC in that building

also idc what yall say, i’ve liked the courts

the amount of switching the celtics do at times is a little unnecessary, that hield three at the end was all because of that, it’s not easy switching when you’ve just changed directions guarding your guy and now another player is running the other way and you gotta quickly change directions again and switch

  11. I was iffy on an IST before the season started but man I’m loving it so far. I’d like to see a few revisions but I hope it’s here to stay

Also Haliburton is so much fun to watch holy shit

  12. Pacers shot 47.3% from 3

    Celtics shot 29.3% from 3

    Yikes

  13. EsotericPotato

The East may unironically be fucked if the Pacers just learned they can play defense.

Hali looks less like an all-star and more like just a legit The Guy type player. He is sensational.

  14. ForeverRunning_Anth

I’m sorry I doubted you Adam Silver, this is so fun

  15. TheSmokedSalmon420

This did not feel like a regular Monday night game in December – the NBA is onto something with this tourney

That was a lot of fun

  16. I’m guessing Haliburton and the Pacers will be getting more nationally televised games lol

I ain’t even mad about losing to Aaron Nesmith

    Pacers are fun. GG

  17. badluckroda

People were talking shit about the in-season tournament all year but this shit was so FUCKING HYPEEE!!

  18. Hali is awesome, it’s time for for his flowers. Hope people recognize his superstardom this season.

  19. backpage24

This Pacers team is straight vibes. Rooting for em

  20. panchettaz

Bruce Brown about to be the first player to win the championship and tournament in the same year!

  21. schmidthappens32

“A coming of age moment for a rising team in the East”

    inject this into my veins

  22. PretendDubs

Nesmith’s hate for the Celtics is so real, he’s got a fan in me

  23. 26 points, 10 rebounds, 13 assists, 0 turnovers

    Haliburton. Is. That. Dude.

  24. elcapitandemundo

fun game, Tyrese is an animal and it’s great to see my man Nesmith thriving. congrats Indiana go win it

  25. MySabonerRunsOladipo

First team to win an IST game.

First team to clinch a QF birth

First team to win an IST elimination game

    What’s left?

  26. aslightlyusedtissue

The most electric crowd I’ve EVER seen in an NBA game before April. Absolutely amazing to watch.

  27. LackingInPatience

Nesmith was playing his heart out there!

This game is why anyone who watched football (soccer) knew this tournament would be fire. It has a competitive edge. I don’t know why old heads like Shaq keep hating on it. The magic of the cup!

  28. boydivision30

The Indiana Pacers, behind Tyrese Haliburton, relied on their extensive playoff experience to snatch the W over a young, upstart Boston Celtics.

  29. NBA fucked up putting semis and finals in Vegas. Home crowd was unreal

  30. Man, I haven’t been this pissed off about Halliburton since George W. Bush was president.

  31. TheLeoMessiah

    Couple of thoughts:

    – we need Porzingis, otherwise we are essentially last year’s team with way worse depth. I will pray for the health of this man like I’ve prayed for nobody ever before lmao

    – I had no idea Indiana’s defense could step it up like that, and if it wasn’t for the IST I would never know. Can’t say enough positive things about the IST

    – Happy for the Indiana fans who have suffered from mediocrity for a good amount of the last two decades with barely any high end talent coming via the draft and yet still finding a way to be a competitive, exciting team. Herb Simon is an underrated owner, seems like almost every GM/Coach that comes through Indiana is very sensible and clearly one of the best at their jobs. Hope they get that NBA Cup

  32. WeekndMamba

Haliburton no longer just an all star he’s made the jump.
