I could understand if the organization wanted to keep some distance from Twolves Brasil, but honestly I think this is a great move.
The weird videos are obviously their claim to fame, but the other 95% of their posts are just genuine hype and love for the Timberwolves organization. Their follower count has exploded since the season started, and I’d assume many of those new followers weren’t previously Wolves fans (or even American)—you may have started following because you saw a wolf sucking off a trophy, but now you’re staying for the news, highlights, memes, etc. posted several times per day about this NBA team from Minnesota you’d otherwise never think about. It’s a diehard fan (with a… unique sense of humor) ostensibly doing social media outreach for the team, without pay.
It’s unorthodox, sure, but I think Twolves Brasil is doing a genuine service for the organization, and I like that the team’s showing their appreciation for it. It’s the least they can do!
