Having decent role players making normal money has exacerbated the Tobias Harris situation. He has to go

  2. heyheyluno

tough night for paul reed. Wish he could get in earlier felt like he couldn’t get shit going.

  3. GirlWithGame

Welcome back Kelly it was refreshing to have his energy back in the line up and a special welcome back to the MVP Embiid he certainly made his presence known. 50 points and he was in his bag, heck his teammates make more shots he’s got the triple double 7 assists with 50 points is wild.

  4. TheAntiCircleJerk

In no universe should Marcus Morris get minutes ahead of RoCo.

  5. terradactle

The entire last 5 minutes was in the sweet spot where I kinda knew the whole time we’d win, but we didn’t pull away enough to take embiid out, so he could keep racking up stats lol. Also maxey’s buzzer beater turned out to be kind of important. I think we’d still have won but would have had to sweat a little more without that 3 point cushion

  6. Needing Joel to hypercarry against the clearly struggling Wizards is not a great look, but that was one for the ages for Jo regardless

  7. bigchallah

Melton with another solid game, even hit his layups.

  8. WraithTwelve

Got the win and a nice audition from Tyus Jones. Do it Daryl.

  9. BassGuru82

Turns out, Joel Embiid is pretty good at basketball.

  10. jeppsforst

Felt very much like a first game in almost a week. Lazy defensive rotations all night, and they lose this against almost every other team in the league

  11. Honestly, how do the Wizards play an entire 48 (even having a lead at times) with the energy of a defeated team just chucking up whatever to make the final score respectable?

Sixers barely cared for a half and while the margin was a mere 5, gained the W. Which is what needs to happen in this stretch of games against the Washingtons and Detroits of the league.

Good to have Stupid Sexy Oubre back.

  12. Lurkerwasntaken

[If a 50+ point 11+ rebound 7+ assist game with 19/28 shooting by Embiid who hard-carried the team to a win sounded familiar to anyone…](https://www.nba.com/game/0022200195)

Edit: Also, Tobi scored single digits in both games lol

  13. rexfloyd94

i only caught the first half and uh that sure was a game

thanks for the win though king embiid you are the best

  14. jeppsforst

    Marcus Morris: 15 minutes
    RoCo: 4 minutes

This should literally be 19 RoCo minutes i simply do not understand

  15. Science4me12

I need a logical explanation why Morris is getting playing time over RoCo.

He can dribble slightly better than RoCo, that’s all

  16. thatsinsaneletstryit

rather start roco (who nurse, like lue, seems to ignore in favor of morris for NO apparent reason) over tobi at this point no bullshit but apparently making way more money than you’re worth ALSO means the coach has to treat you specially

  17. DeliciousScallion208

Man nothing landed for Tobi. Cold af. What happened to earlier season Harris?

  18. There’s no place for Tobi on this team.

Batum is just better fit than him on this team next to Embiid or just a better player straight up. Kelly Oubre got hit by a car and has double his offensive output in half the minutes.

Can’t even have him come off the bench as a microwave scorer because he just doesn’t have that in him, has to defer to Melton on that lineup and shrinks even vs the 3 win wizards. Absolutely pathetic.

  19. RomanDeltaEngin33r

It’s cool and all that Joel scored 50, but I’m getting a bit worried with how Nurse has been coaching lately. Very similar to Doc with running everything through two players.

We played share ball in the beginning of the season and we were the best team in the league and it wasn’t close.

  20. ImpossibleFact7

Joel Embiid is the Washington Wizards father

  21. CallMeCoolHand

Missed a $450 parlay on $5, needed 10 points from Tobias. Dude is an all star at busting parlays.

  22. IhaveaHarden

Kelly Oubre is the missing link. I’m dead ass no cap for real!

  23. Science4me12

Again, if you really want Tobi gone, you need to be prepared for 25 Morris’ minutes

  24. HinkiesPlans

on the wizards postgame, they are legitimately patting each other on the back that embiid had 50 and taking that as a moral victory

  25. SlyHooper91

I know Jo dropped 50 but it was infuriating watching that defense especially that stretch in the 3rd where we allowed 4 wide open layups. Defense has been bad for the last few weeks and there is no reason it should be bad.

  26. I always wanted Tyus Jones, now I really want Tyus Jones.

  27. PessimistSixersFan

I’ve really cooled on Nurse lately as I’m not a fan of the decisions he’s made (Roco getting so little minutes, not pulling Tobias when he’s clearly killing momentum, Springer glued to the bench, etc)

Feels kinda like glenn but with more emphasis with movement/cutting (that’s the feeling I’ve gotten from the past few games)

Better than Glenn for sure but has shades of him too

  28. stats_commenter

thank you joel embiid for making the ball go in the hoop.

oubre being back was huge. his ability to make something happen in clutch moments was very much felt.

  29. thundercockjk2

Could you imagine what life would be like if we replaced Harris with someone who likes to shoot the ball? A guy can dream.

  30. Ok-Association-4790

Why does Kelly oubre never get any sets ran for him??

  31. We all lauded Nick Nurse’s creativity and willing to try different stuff. It’s the beginning of the season, and since Morris had to play more minutes in Oubre’s absence, Nurse could just be riding this out to see if Morris benefits from having consistent run. But I suspect come playoff time, Roco is going to be getting the minutes. It’s a long NBA season. It’s not always going to be THE playoff rotation that plays night in and night out.

There are going to be clusters of games where we see certain rotations and scratch our head, but that is one of the side effects of having a coach who wants to experiment and try stuff out….sometimes it’s not pretty.

  32. Got2JumpN2Swim

Embiids point/rebound/assist combined for tonight? 69

  33. LightBluePhorgotten

I honestly think that might be the first time I’ve seen the Sixers win here in person
