Some say the 2014 Spurs championship run was exciting, but it doesn’t compare to the development this year. This is an unprecedented season of development. Spurs are playing 6D chess with this development. I’ve never seen such good development from the (former) youngest team in the nba! Durvelopment!

  2. JOYCEISDEAD

Everyone start looking for your favorite point guard in this upcoming draft. Might be the only thing interesting to talk about later in the season lol

  3. Hurts my heart seeing Wemby look so dejected leaving the court

  4. EazyBreezee

Victor looked utterly defeated there after the game

  5. thegrayscales

Is it bad I’m already thinking about how the 2024 Draft is going to play out?

  6. Southern_sky

I feel so done with Zach Collins in a leading role. 20 shots against the likes of KAT/Gobert/Reid

  7. If I were Zach Collins, and this was the one time in my life I had an absolute unqualified green light, I guess I would shoot like an unhinged madman too.

  8. keldpxowjwsn

Zach collins jacking up 3 pointers 5 seconds into the shot clock is elite basketball

  9. Classic_Average_2563

Do you think we’ll get some accountability from Pop and the coaching staff for the bad rotations? I love Pop and think he’s the GOAT when it comes to coaching but at this point it feels like he’s just waiting for someone to fire him. There’s no other reason our rotations should be this bad and I can’t find any other explanation as to why Zach Collins gets such a long leash on the team.

Development year or not, we should not be as bad as we are now. We’re on track to lose more games than last season and all we did was add a #1 pick to the roster (not to mention Keldon and Devin pretty didn’t play the end of the season last time around).

  10. This team should be watching lob and entry passes tutorial videos instead of shooting HEB commercials

  11. mrbrownstone1482

Wonder who you fuckers are gonna blame now that Point Sochan isn’t a thing

  12. Davidpaulngo

I love the defensive improvement today. For the most part, I honestly felt there was way more coaching done on that end today. The sudden changing of defensive schemes really threw the wolves off. Most of the team was in good position most of the time (except Branham). I hope this will continue moving forward.

On offense.. man, Zach Collins was on one today.. except whatever he was on wasn’t very good. Otherwise, it was much of the same.

This leads me to believe the long break was done to address the defense. I liked what I saw there at least.

  13. jeremyrvcc

Im so tired of seeing Collins, McDermott, and Osman play down the stretch but mostly Collins and McDermott.

They literally sell in the 4th quarter every game and play terrible defense. They’re worthless

  14. IntroductionUpper

We’re nearly 1/3 into the season. If we’re still experimenting with bullshit, might as bring in Cissoko, Mamu, and Wesley. Some of these guys in the current rotation have not deserved the minutes (*cough* Branham *cough*)

  15. Thehelloman0

We looked okay tonight, shots weren’t falling. I think it’s pretty clear almost nobody on this team matters for the long term future now. Devin and Wemby are the only sure things.

Malaki has been a big disappointment for me this year. He’s basically unplayable if he isn’t hitting 3s because of his atrocious defense. If his 3 pt percentage keeps staying below 33%, he doesn’t deserve any minutes tbh

  16. I rather see sochan at center then Collins at this point

  17. Front office did say around the 20 game mark is when they’ll have a good idea as to how they’ll surround Wemby for the rest of the year. We’ll see if that holds up next game

  18. TheCinemaster

Man I really wanted this W, it would have been a huge morale boost to beat the best team (currently) in the NBA and end the losing streak.

I can sense Wemby is getting more and more down in the dumps.

  19. Awkward_Toe_5501

Pop single handingly erasing the PG position from the planet. Tre and Devontae gotta go on a riot lol

  20. I just can’t imagine there many worse players than Collins has been this year. Fucking shame but at this point his effort is shit. Terrible, terrible match up from him and Vic but his play was beyond pittful. Worse part is that he wasn’t like this last year. He was actually alright last year too which a bummer. Genuinely hope he can figure it out. But For the rest of the team the effort was pretty disappointing, at least have some fucking pride in your work, we don’t get on fast breaks well and we don’t get bodies on rebounds. I think we lack critical thinking as well, to many stupid ass shots early in clocks and bad bad decisions all around. Only reason this game was close is cause timberwolves couldn’t buy a three. Only bright spot is a lot of this is talent, I’ve always thought that but damn the poor efforts what gets me. I can take all the darkness if it’s not so lazy. Finally I really don’t think topic is our answer. We’re so horrendous bad on defense I don’t think drafting him will fix our true holes. I rather get a guy who can stop point of attack and not get hosed every minute he’s on the court

  21. SunKing210

Can we just fast forward to the 2024 Draft already? 😅

  22. The Wolves played badly (it was a low scoring game) and it was entertaining for the most part, but it the end they scored their 3 pointers when it mattered most. It is what it is, our guys were bad from the 3pt line and we got no offensive rebounding, add to that our other deficiencies and we got ourselves another loss.

I’m not even mad, they are one of the best teams right now.

  23. Bonesawisready5

Embarrassing. Wemby needs to condition better and give more effort. Truly one of the worst times to be a fan. No excuses for Vic to be so low effort after all that rest unless he’s hurt

  24. Moreorlessatorium

We just lost to the best team in the league by 8 and it was competitive the whole game. Y’all some crybabies lol.

  25. msolelh1027

Stop putting Z in the starter’s lineup. Dude gave up trying after signing his contract.

  26. SaWalkerMakasin

Ya know who could be playing these minutes instead of Collins? Sengun, had we taken him over Josh “The Flash” Primo as we should have.

  27. wemBanana

Zach Collins took 20 shots sure, and 6 were threes. Of the shots he missed:

    Q1 – 19 fter, 22 ft 3PA, **5fter**

    Q2 – **layup**, 22 ft 3PA

    Q3 – **layup**, **tip shot**, 23 ft 3PA, 26 ft 3PA, **layup, 2pter**

    Q4 – 26ft 3PA, **5 foot hook shot**, 26 ft 3PA

Of the 3 point shooting all I’ll say is he was wide open on at least half of those, those are defensible. The rest aren’t.

Of the missed shots, almost all of them are layups, or paint buckets that are sure things. He isn’t taking elbow jumpers or things he can’t accomplish.

Do the Spurs have a 3 point problem? Yes. Do they also have a 3 point **defense** problem? Yes. But I don’t think Collins’ 20 shots means pOp iS tAnKinG.

We lost our shooting coach to OKC, that’s a big loss for the team. Not sure why that isn’t being reported on more and what the organization has done to fill Chip’s space. That is more concerning to me.
