Chuck is refusing to believe that players can actually get better. Yes the same players are on the team and RJ is better than he was last year. Mitchell Robinson is also better than he was last year. December will show us what the Knicks are really made of.
Randle is better and I like Brunson at his position but for several seasons before Jalen Brunson got to NY, Randle was holding that team together with zero help. Again he is a great addition but they need another top player who can shoot. Julius is getting sick of being there knowing he isn't going anywhere far come playoff time

Kenny has been hurt since we ain’t give him the coaching job . It’s like he not watching the game . The Knicks ain’t strong strong but the Knicks are competitive and actually play defense unlike yesterday !

Brunson is better than Randle. I actually think it is a good thing this year that the Knicks finally figured that out. Randle is way to inconsistent. They actually need to trade him for a better piece. Not RJ as a lot of people think
1.) Brunson is the best player on the Knicks. Not Randle.
2.) Knicks are fine where we're at. Brunson and Randle are performing higher than what their contracts are worth. RJ, Hart, IQ, and Robinson are also solid. We're not a championship team but trading all our assets for a aging star wont work in our favor.
3.) Knicks need to SIGN a free agent but NY needs ot first prove to future players that it's worth coming here. There was issues with James Dolan in the previous years that put a bad taste in players. No one wanted to risk signing here to deal with that. I think Leon Rose and Gerrson are slowly changing the image of the Knicks in a good way.
4.) Why compete with the current power houses? No trade the knicks could do would compete with teams like Boston, Bucks, Nuggets, Timberwolves, etc. Let them fight it out while we stay patient in developing our younger guys and actually build a culture.
The Knicks are the definition of mid there in biggest market but have no star power
Jalen is a top tier 2nd option, but he's not a #1 guy. They need a bonafide super star, a guy that can average 30 every game to push deep into the playoffs. Julius is way too inconsistent and RJ seems to have hit his ceiling unfortunately.
I thought the Knicks should have put together a package including Randle & picks, etc to try to get an elite player. Brunson is a solid #2 & Toppin always played well when he got minutes. Randle came up short 2 playoff series in a row. I think the Knicks dropped the ball last offseason.

I think the problem with the Knicks is the coach.
Years of failure has made nyk an undesirable destination for free agents. The only way they could change that is by producing a consistently good team and a stable culture. They are in the process of doing that but I’d say still years before players forget what a mess this organization was. Unless they can fleece another team, or a star forces a trade, the Knicks are only going to get incrementally better until it’s time to rebuild. They tried their luck at the draft for a few years and it didn’t work out. It is what it is.
Ok, right, we need to make a trade, I'm with you……FOR WHO, BRUH? We aren't gonna beat any of the top 4 or 5 teams without an MVP level guy. Not DeRozan or Lavine or Donovan, I'm talking guys that will get MVP votes every season. Who in that territory is available? Please tell me.
