  1. adelphotes

    On track for 64-18

Wemby crashing the boards felt good, onto the next one

    Go Spurs Go

  2. Ians_Life

Really depressing loss once again. But at least Wemby is now the youngest rookie to get a double 20 game which is pretty damn cool

  3. siphillis

Genuinely the worst basketball team I have ever followed. They do nothing well.

  4. Craig will now go the next 20 games without making a combine five 3s in those game

  5. Wemby the youngest player with 20/20!

But we still lost. I hope this doesn’t come to define the team for the coming years

  6. ATDIadherent

    🫡🫡🫡
It’s an honor serving with you all!

  7. What are you gonna do? It is what it is. It’s nice that Pop and DeMar love each other so much. The game? It was deja vu all over again. Giddy up!

  8. whynotletitfly6

Really don’t think it’s asking much to close out *one* of these at some point…

  9. Dabawse26

Wow what an absolute bust of a third quarter again

  10. sstewart1617

Continue to get better, but we just don’t have the fundamentals to win games smart, and don’t have the talent to wing games dumb.

    One day…

  11. Axsh1boomba

I hate it when the Spurs play slow, plodding their way down the court, telegraphing passes or reacting slowly… This usually happens in the third quarter but still… It sucks.

  12. I don’t think we will win this year. Maybe January is better luck.

  13. Spiritual_Echo_1000

This is beyond tanking at this point. At some point, we have to look at the coaching staff for what the fuck is going on with the lineups and what are we doing to move forward. We can’t just casually tie the worst losing streak in franchise history and just say “They’re young”.

  14. Classic_Average_2563

Patrick Williams averages 8PPG and this team let him get 20.

  15. Happy for Wemby’s 20-20 game. The less said otherwise about this disgraceful performance (by the players and the coaching staff) the better.

  16. dthegreat

    Oof.

    Positives:
    -keldon’s shooting
-wemby’s conditioning getting better game by game
    -wemby healthy

    negatives:
-we might never win again lol
-nobody other than wemby can grab a rebound to save their lives
-still collapsing way too hard off shooters (maybe stay attached to craig after he hits 4 3’s in a row??)

  17. coolphred

Like Sean said at the end. This team has an attitude problem. The one thing everyone can control for themselves is their attitude, and this team chooses to be ass everytime there’s a bit of adversity. We have the talent to win games, but not the attitude. It’s pathetic and insulting to the people that are paying money to watch them suck.

  18. CStradale

What sucks about this year is Pop has no pressure to get a winning record this season. He’s safe with the front office due to rebuilding mode. If this was any other coach, you know they’d go all out to get better cause their job is on the line

  19. horrormusical

what Eastern conference team should I watch this year? I’m getting slightly frustrated and bored of losing.

  20. msolelh1027

Bulls were our only chance of ending this losing streak.

  21. 1920sComedyAct

The game changed when doug got subbed out. He was keeping us in the game, and Pop decided to take him. Off

  22. Bill Simmons was yelling this all off-season but someone tell me why tf we didn’t get Austin Reaves

Dude probably makes a 3 win difference right now at least

  23. widelyruled

There’s “we’re not competing this year and focusing on development” and then there’s this.

This is an embarrassment to be honest, and shouldn’t be defended. We’re legitimately heading towards breaking the all time losing streak. At this rate, Adam Silver is going to strong-arm the franchise into making trades. They can’t be happy with all the losing surrounding the young star they so desperately want to market.

  24. Tight-Transition-364

What the fuck is with these 1-2 minute post games with Pop? Is the San Antonio media that scared of him to not even ask questions. Seriously grinds my gears.

  25. Thehelloman0

I’m at the point where I’m basically giving up on everyone on our roster other than Devin, Keldon, Sochan, and Wemby. Devin and Wemby being the only truly important players. Sochan has some skills but he’ll never be more than a cog on a good team. Keldon will always have a strong role as a guy off the bench or starting to pressure the rim and take catch and shoot 3s but he’s not super important. We need to completely retool this team, get rid of half the guys in the offseason and bring in vets.

On another note, I feel like it might be worth giving Wesley Branham’s minutes. Branham is so insanely bad on defense

  26. msolelh1027

This is making me depressed. I will continue to cheer for the team but I might not watch games for now. T_T

  27. Imaginary-Cycle-1977

I think we’re getting closer to Tre starting

Cedi last game, Malaki tonight…hopefully this tinkering ends up w Tre in the starting 5

  28. music_crawler

How did this team beat the Suns twice, no OT needed?

Something has to be different from when they were 3-2.

  29. llamawhittlings

Just frustrating and disappointing. I didn’t expect us to be world-beaters this year, but it’s not unreasonable to think we should be better than this.

  30. CrissCrossAppleSos

To the people that want Pop gone, you may as well say “it’s time for Jokic to demand a trade to San Antonio” one of the cheaper ownership groups in the NBA aren’t signing a guy to the richest coaching contract in league history, then adding coaching salary on top of that

  31. DevilGunManga

First game with Vic starting at 5 and he got 20/20 vision. We’re moving in the right direction.

  32. Prize_Possession3899

I feel like I need to write my thoughts down to get it out of my system and help me move on from some of these frustrating games. Here it goes:

    **Pros**

Wemby playing one of his best games this season in the paint defensively and offensively. We can see Wemby learning player tendencies quickly as the game went on. Owned Vucevic in the paint with some blocks after falling for one of his fakes earlier in the game. I can’t wait to see what Wemby can do with more experience under his belt.

Tre Jones continues to showcase his improvement in catch and shoot 3’s in addition to his normal solid play running the offense and attacking the basket.

    **Cons**

Lose the 3rd quarter by 15. Fucking terrible.

Still having a hard time getting baskets to stop the bleeding when the game is on the line.

Torrey Craig having probably one of his best 3pt shooting games of his career and still getting wide open shots.

    **Overall**

Tried to fight back in the 4th, but couldn’t get control. I would’ve rather seen Osman in for Branham when Wemby and Devin went to the bench, but hard to say for sure if that would’ve changed the outcome.

Missed Jones layup that led to a layup in transition by White, followed by a Vassell TO that leads to a Williams layup next possession really put us in a hole. Now we’re down 8 with 3:36 left against DeRozan doing what he does best in controlling the game late. Another tough way to lose a winnable game.

    **Looking Forward**

A couple days off before playing every other day all the way to the mini Christmas break, starting with a short road trip to Houston. At this point, all we can do is hope the players are learning from this and continue to work hard towards putting forth a complete 48 minute effort.

    **GSG**

  33. Awkward_Toe_5501

Pop will NOT start Tre because he’s afraid it will be a WIN which makes him look bad and everyone will say ” I told you so”. He wants to get a win without tre then slowly bring him into start.

  34. ASithLordNoAffect

Please trade for some players by the deadline. Victor is going to be one of the more impactful players in the nba on both ends of the floor by the end of the year.
