Jaylen Brown: “I always thought my first career ejection would be something a little more exciting. Guys tussling up, thrown to the ground. Not some overemotional ref who had a bad day. What I’m most upset about is that I should’ve gotten my fucking money’s worth.”

  3. Ok-League9682

That’s a pretty hard quote, kinda worth it now.

amazing verbal takedown of that bitchass ref

they loved knick dick all night long

  5. Loved seeing the coaches confront that ref and Mazzulla just laughing in his face. Refs are Charmin Ultra Soft: Silk Edition.

Joe at the podium right now, said JB’s first tech was for telling the ref “not to call that weak ass shit.” When asked about the second tech, he said he wasn’t sure, then followed by saying, “I’m trying really hard not to get fined $25,000 right now.”

Lmao this is the way. Call that bitch ass reff out

It wouldn’t be a Celtics game without a few technicals

At this point I feel like they need to make the refs answer reporters’ questions and explain some of this. First tech completely warranted but the second and ejection needs to be reviewed and determined if that ref needs to keep working for the NBA. People spend a lot to go to these games. Ejections better have an easily explainable rationale if you’re tossing guys people spent hundreds of dollars to see.

NBA refs would have techs flying all over the place if they hear what comes out of NFL sidelines lol.

The refs are gonna remember this and there will be hell to pay I tell you.

If this happened to LeBron the refs would be tweeting “I’m sorry” by 10AM tomorrow morning.

Jaylen signed the richest contact in league history so that he could absorb fines for shit talking the refs.

  14. I’m glad with the supermax JB can afford the fine

That said it’s ridiculous for the league to force teams to constantly play their star players just so the refs can easily eject them

Jaylen consistently has some of the best behavior of any star player in the league. 8 years in the league, zero ejections. He rarely overcomplains to the refs. The fact that he stayed on and was fired up should show that it’s complete bullshit.

“Don’t call that weak ass shit” is a normal ass thing to say and not something to get a first technical, especially since immediately after the ejection they stopped calling that weak ass shit. Being bummed on the bench isn’t something that gets people ejected from games. Twice in a short span that refs are giving star Celtics players ejections and it’s ridiculous. Jaylen has no history of antagonizing referees. Let’s hope he brings down the wrath of the NBAPA on this.
