JK and Moody have earned their minutes. Better start giving them the burn they deserve and live with the result. It's sad to see us losing with our vets. Kerr did it with Iggy when he first got here. Now it's time to bench Klay. And please give TJD some minutes.
The frustrating thing is they haven't really gotten blown out. They have mostly beaten themselves. They are not fouling as much as last year (except against Minn). They're starting to shoot better from 3. They are competitive on the boards. Their losses to LAC, Sac and last night to OKC have all been about poor management in crunch time (letting Chet shoot a 3 a few games ago and then fouling him in the act last night. It's turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. Lots by Steph, Dray and Wiggs. Also seems like they don't finish at the basket as well as they have in the past. I can't begin to count the missed layups from Looney. Hard to pinpoint. But their age does seem to be an issue. Their young core brings energy. Gotta love JK, MM and BP's hustle and freshness. In my mind, Looney and Wiggs seem like they should have less minutes. Time to experiment for a few games and see what we learn. Can't get more frustrating…..that's for sure.
Ok, saving the drama for the playoffs is not going to work, they will be too deep in the hole that they dug to get out. Yes Kerr stay out of the way! How could you pull M&M after he was doing so well . Sometime I believe Kerr wants to lose. The only player who was producing is pulled, what BS! Finally for me the only starter Kerr limits time for for the Oklahoma game is Looney, perhaps an option but according to the last analytics JK and MM are better that Wiggins and Thompson, so why are the younger players on the bench and the veterans on the floor and not producing, Steph and Dray are producing, Steph playing his heart out, they deserve to stay. Get with reality Kerr.
Facts: Under Steve Kerr, there are no rookies that he develop into a potential Superstar. How could they if Kerr had this erratic subs that hinder the rookies development. You cannot say JK has no potential, he was awesome during the pre season games leading GSW into wins after wins.
I envision Kuminga starting . . . soaring to all-star status . . .and Dub Nation bringing little congo drums and rapping on them every time he scores, rebounds, gets a steal. Chase Center would be rawkin'! And the Dubs would have a winning record, not an embarrassing one. (Congo drums because JK is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.)
Preach man. Kerr has no idea how to handle young players and create a meaningful, defined role for them so they can play with confidence. Mark Jackson did that hard work last time around. Maybe itās time for him to come back.
I have no issue w/ Klay and or Wiggs starting. Would I like for Kerr to make some adjustments to the starting lineup? Of course. But if theyāre going to ride with/ it as currently constructed then i say Klay or Wiggs donāt play more than 15-20 mins unless of courseās theyāve got it going then you leave them in. Otherwise, JK and Moses should be getting the bulk of their mins, and throw in TJD for a good 10-15. In crunch time teams are attacking them inside because of lack of rim protection. At least TJD could alter some shots and be a vertical presence they donāt have there. Kerrās unwillingness to do what needs to be done is as much the cause of their struggles as them turning the ball over at a high rate. This team has no discipline. I could add so much more but Iād be writing for a minute.
If you really think about Steve Kerr's coaching style it makes sense bank on what people have done in the past versus what they can do in the future. Problem is sometimes the is no going back and the only way forward is unknown
This team is broken from top to bottom. The system is antiquated, the veteran core is not serious about winning but more interested in playing for themselves and their own egos. No one except the young guys is being held accountable for their mistakes and poor decisions. The team has no rim protection, few capable point of attack defenders, no shot creation outside of Steph and an expectedly inconsistent rookie in Podz. They run sets that the whole league has scouted a million times and generally have a philosophy that deliberately makes it harder for them to win games when they can no longer get by on sheer talent. They almost never hunt mismatches on the court, nor do they aggressively attack opposing players who in foul trouble they rarely hunt fouls to get to the line. Kerr can often say all the right things after another loss or close win where they almost blow the game again but the actual decisions on the floor the very next game show very little if anything has in fact been learned.
Klay simply cannot be a number 2 option with no ability to take guys off the dribble and very little ability to attack the paint, he barely even cuts to the basket much anymore. That's without even bringing up his defensive liabilities.
Dray has generally been playing better this season but man for a guy that is lauded for his basketball IQ he sure does makes some stupid decisions sometime. Literally all they had to do yesterday against OKC (again) was foul any player as soon as the ball was inbounded to send that player to the line for 2 shots. But he couldn't help but got the steal and then foul Chet in the act of shooting.
I don't even care about the record because I know they have had a tough schedule. But I have to draw conclusions from what I am seeing on the court. This team is cooked. Only an insane person does the same things over and over again and expects different results. 29 turnovers is a sign of an unserious basketball team even if you have to credit OKC for a bunch of them.
Steve Kerr wants to ride his aging veterans into the ground, just to make the playoffs. Meanwhile the young ones whom he prefers to bench will not have the opportunities necessary for making mistakes and learning from them in order to grow. Take the frequent turnovers and see how many the veterans make as compared to the young one, and yet Kerr is so forgiving of their many turnovers, but is quick to pull JK out over the least infraction.
Well, the Warriors may get into the playoffs on the backs of the veterans, but then what comes next? Early exit? Can the veterans match the intensity with which games in the playoffs are going to be played, having expended massive energy just to get into the playoffs? Will Kerr need some of the young ones to help out the team at that critical juncture where any mistake they make would be advantageous to opposing teams? Were he to give the room for the young ones to learn now, they would be more experienced and not commit many mistakes during playoffs, not to mention the rest they would provide the veterans so they can stay fresh over the long haul of the playoffs.
These are some observations of an outsider looking in and not having all the facts, but who am I to fault Kerr for his coaching decisions about the young ones on his team? He has earned his stripes as a good coach for the Warriors. But sometimes we humans can become prisoners to the very things that brought us past successes and fail to realize when the shelf life of those successful formulae might have passed. This mindset is captured in the popular mantra: āIf it aināt broken, donāt fix it!ā
Well, judging by the struggles of the veteran Warriors players this early in the season, will someone please let Steve Kerr know that the days of riding on the plays of the veterans for 82 regular games + playoff games has long passed, and his failure or fear or stubbornness to adapt guarantees disaster for his aspirations to guide the Warriors to their FIFTH championship. The man should learn to embrace change, and not fear it!
I believe Draymond Green is so insecure as a person that any young talent that shines too bright is seen as a threat to him. Kerr's decisions on who to play, for how long and under what circumstances I believe are heavily constrained by a feeling that he must prevent Draymond from feeling triggered and disrespected. MM and JK don't need Draymond and that bothers him.
Swish… I have always been extremely frustrated with Kerr's coaching. It would be one thing if this was the first time he's done something like this, but it's not. Bench players have always been taken out regardless of how well they're playing and also regardless of how bad the starters are playing. He doesn't play they people that are playing well. I'd say this is the third time this year he sat the person with hot hand. Last year for example, JK had 20+, low fouls, and was playing great defense–all in the first half of a game (can't remember which). Then, Ty Jerome got all of the minutes in the second half. JK didn't even see the court. Kerr gets all this praise about being a great coach, but is he? Or has he just been absolutely blessed with talent?

Wise and insightful again.

Moody
And I would love to see Lester Quinones
Kerr is ruining KUMINGA and MOODY career.
Copium.
CURRY , MOODY , JK , TJD , SARIC …šŖšæšÆ

No idea why Kerr would play Lamb's bum ass 20 mpg but won't give 2 lottery picks (JK and MM) more than 10 – 15 per.
Moody and Kuminga need to start over Klay and Looney, play Dray at the 5 and let CP3 work with Podz, Klay, Saric and Looney/Payton.
I blame Kerr for not developing the young guys last year
Let's not forget the impact GPII has with this team. His hustle plays and defensive intensity is missed. Can't wait to see him back on the court.

No such as a ex factor if the coach doesn't play em
Trade Wiggins and picks for Siakam

He will get traded as a scapegoat
When the bench is playing better than starters you have a problem
The NBA is Fixed! Itās the letās back LA Yearā¦Kerr is not that dumb.
Great video presentation and agree. They should have kept moody in and kuminga and use Klay as a backup for now.
Greetings @Swish and the Warriors family. Compliments of the Season to y'all ā¤š

Keep pool
starting lineup should be Steph, Moody, Kuminga, Wiggins and Draymond. Only play Looney if he's needed because of opponents size.
they royally fucked up last year playing Lamb and Jerome over Kuminga and Moody.
Medh the young players. If Kerr can't get it done, fire his dumb ass.
I think what they need is a legit center and a new coach
I believe Draymond Green is so insecure as a person that any young talent that shines too bright is seen as a threat to him. JK trade would be an epic failā¦heās a leaner, quicker version of Kawhi Leonard (amazing two way player.)

Kerr needs to be fired. He's over rated
Steve Kerr sucks
Are warriors going make playoff?
