  1. He spoke about Gradey like he was gonna be a main rotation player. Meanwhile Gradey has still struggled in the g league where he seems to be for most of the rest of the season and Otto is hurt AGAIN 🤣. People kept saying trust Masai but after that last 2 deadlines and offseasons he’s done way too much damage to this team.

  2. WheelchairEnchanter

What happened to the .5 offense? We’re back to isos and no movement off ball

  3. Raptors887

He’s delusional. He probably still thinks we need more PF’s with long wingspans.

  4. Apprehensive_Oil_484

Responded like a politician. Said all the right things and made it sweet sounding but never it came to fruition. I don’t see how this roster competes at all. Now he doesn’t really have a choice but to make some type of change. Let’s just hope it’s the right one

  5. Guy_Le_Man

“We’ve tried nothing, and we’re all out of ideas!”

  6. _Gourmand

So Otto + Gradey Dick was the solution. Relying on Otto is obvisouly risky based on injuries, and relying on Gradey Dick who isn’t proven to bring immediate impact won’t help us now. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I’m sure he realizes now something has to change soon.

Pascal Siakam has to be traded. Siakam and Schroder to Miami for Lowry, Jaquez Jr and Duncan Robinson. We get younger, we get tougher, our bench gets deeper, and we improve shooting significantly.

  7. TinnieTa21

It truly ticked me off when he spoke about players being selfish. It was like the kettle calling the pot black.

  8. Ignomatics

Relying on internal growth is great until it’s stagnant or regressing

  9. Great find OP.

I’m stealing this from somebody else but the front office’s belief is: “you can teach shooting and dribbling but you can’t teach a guy being 6’9”

I watch way too much basketball. I play a lot and suck at it. I would say they were dead wrong. There isn’t an example in the history of basketball where an entire team learned fundamental basketball skills in a few seasons. Maybe if this was a 10 and under league.

I hope this gets downvoted. This sub is fucking pathetic.

You have no idea what the raptors overall plan is. It is NOT reasonable to have a championship contender every year.

Sometimes you do intermediate things to prepare for winning in the future. If you do a bunch of short term fixes, it can take you off the long term path.

All this sub does is bitch and moan.

Go watch another team if you hate the management/players so much. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

  11. Mediocre-Put8729

Can shit on masai all you want. Man brought us the 2019 championship. That’s forever epic.

  12. Sounds like someone not understanding the gravity of the situation. This team sucks because they can’t shoot. And apparently can’t defend either…

Doing nothing is no longer a viable plan.

    Edit: can to can’t

  13. TorontoSportsFan10

Lol the only 2 players he lists as hopeful for improving the teams 3pt shooting are getting zero playing time

  14. BallerDay

And nothing has worked. Now its time to blow it up

  15. SubstantialBody6611

Probably everything he said hasn’t or isn’t happening.

  16. Jealous-Cry1794

He usually has a more confident tone in his voice. This is a weak response. Dude knows he’s treading water. Otto Poeter and an unconfident college child ain’t taking up any of that slack.

  17. jak_d_ripr

I gotta say… that was a very well constructed question by the reporter. Bravo.

  18. ImmaFunGuy

Masais politician act is getting old now. A lot of talk every year about urgency and winning but the result and actual actions…

  19. Kingcanute99

God his body language when he’s talking about Dick and Porter is brutal. Fairly steady and confident in the first half and then its like he suddenly realized there were ants crawling up his shoulder blades.

  20. KingJoe7-123

    Pascal Trade:

Raptors Get: Kyle Lowry, Jonathan Kuminga, Podz, 2026 Warriors first, 2027 Warriors pick swap, 1 Heat 2nd round pick

Warriors get: Pascal Siakam, Otto Porter Jr

    Heat Get: Chris Paul

    OG Trade:

Raptors Get: Quentin Grimes, Doug McDermott, 2 Knicks Picks

    Knicks Get: OG Anunoby

Spurs Get: Evan Fournier, 2 Knicks 2nd round picks

  21. The culture needs a shift again. This team is soulless and just so tough to watch. You can see the lack of joy this team plays with. When Kyle came he really helped build that culture of winning team basketball and great depth was built around those teams. It took a lot of heartbreak until we finally reached the finish line but the journey was never dull to watch. We actually looked like an NBA team. Now it just seems like this team has no direction and as a result has reflected in poor disjointed play from the players.
