Wow, what an amazing tournament. These November / December games have been phenomenally competitive and intense (for the most partđ). Surely people wonât let their feelings about a certain franchise or player affect their view on this accomplishmentâs value. Right?

My favorite part were the announcers talking about how this tournament allows bad teams to have a chance at winning something and it just ends up with the Lakers winning.

If they can give IST champion playoff incentive such as extra home court game, playoff position advantage, etc, I can see more team try harder to win IST cup.

Yeah, that is pretty damn good for the whole concept. A lot of attention especially from potential broadcasters and advertisers.
The NBA needs this thing to grow. It will probably never become the FA Cup but, if most players love it for the money and compete hard, it will find its place.
