    Not full effort? Yikes!

O what might have been! It’s not impossible that a more fully engaged KP might have turned the tide in that series and led to a Dallas victory . . . and, had the Mavs gotten out of the first round against a very strong Clippers team, there’s no telling how far they could have gone in the postseason. Moreover, with such postseason success in ’21, KP might not have been traded, and the the Luka-KP-Brunson core might have endured into the present.

    Let the second-guessing begin!

He also was saying how he hadn’t matured much yet, like the guy was idk 25 or something on our team. Wtf man. Whatever, he was injured, he is healthy now and in the correct role. Sucks we didn’t get the BEST version of him but it’s not like we were awful as a team with him and Luka it was just inconsistent.

  3. KPs career is one big what if, I feel like he’s really underachieved given his potential and a lot of it is self inflicted stuff like this

I mean we know this, which is why I never understood people who wish we kept him longer. Rick didn’t like coaching him and Luka played better without him. Also Luka said he was sleeping when the trade happened, he didn’t care KP got traded. Time just ran its course and we got a WCF run out of it

  5. While he was always professional and never officially complained, it was clear he wasn’t always happy here.

People here commenting without watching the entire video. The title is fucking misleading.

  7. ZealousCatracho

Why are you being misleading? He said that Carlisle told him to stand in the corner and that he did it to the best of his ability. He also joked that out of spite he would not move from that corner but he would still go back on defense and try his best. Y’all are trash for bad mouthing a former player just because it didn’t work out. He was a professional throughout his time here.

You get fucking paid millions a year just to not try your fucking hardest when it matters, soft ass tingus pingus

Maximum effort standing in the corner seems like an oxymoron….

Anyone with eyes could’ve told you this. What a waste of an incredible playoff performance from the guy that really cared.

Saying he was “still a little bit young” is a bad look. It was 2 years ago. This is shit you say like 10-15 years down the road.

I feel like Redick tricks players into a false sense of security with his podcast, folks think they’re in their 40s retired and talking about shit that happened 20 years ago that nobody cares.

Not mature enough? Sabotaging the team? Motherfucker THIS WAS TWO YEARS AGO. The fuck are you talking about. How can he say this shit lmao.

Not a KP fan, but I can’t really say I’m surprised either. The role Carlisle asked him to play was a joke that last playoff series. Even coming off the injury, using him like he was Davis Bertans and then having Boban get all of the post looks instead was embarrassing to watch.
