Derrick White was absolutely locked in! And I don’t know what the hell is going on with these refs, but that was a horrible ejection-the guy was obviously butt hurt as JB said in the postgame presser. Anyway it was nice to see a great 3rd quarter for a change and Al once again quietly was the glue keeping everything together. Long day so I’ll finish listening tomorrow. Nice W.. they looked fresh. Those rest days really helped. In season tournament is good for the whole league. The season is brutal and I know they appreciated these extra days of rest! That’s important, you’ll be amazed how 12 hr sleep shift can you help you mentally and physically!

That was the most disgraceful tech I’ve ever seen. He was across the court with no way of hearing anything or being properly identifying a players gestures since the gestures included dialogue. Anyway good to be up 3-0 on a team that beat us 3-1 last year. The 2 most important games this year so far for me are the 2 upcoming games vs Orlando. Must win both.

knicks were mauling white and werent calling fouls then calling touch fouls on JB and techs. i'm beginning to entertain conspiracy theories about the refs trying to keep the games close and play spreads. 2 games in a row now. if the JB tech is the standard, draymond, lebron and luka should be littered with techs by now. Good thing white didnt get a tech. Jb absolutely didnt deserve that 2nd tech. i'll be that gets rescinded quickly like JTs.
These are the top players in the world competing at the highest level. God forbid they show emotion, sports fans hate when their team shows emotion. I don't know what the NBA is doing this year with the being ultra sensitive. You start the season by putting out a mandate to teams, you have to play your stars unless they are hurt. Then you go and constantly have Refs ejecting them for the dumbest shit. Oh, Giannis looked at that guy too long, Tatum threw his hands up, and now Jaylen called Bullshit. Are these adults making millions of dollars, or is the playground in elementary school. Let the guys play. Draymond drags Rudy around by a headlock. Yes, eject him suspend him line way crossed. Giannis makes a block and gets a dunk on the other end, then looks at a guy, is not a tech. That is harmless emotion. Jaylen saying a call weak ass shit is harmless emotion. Karalis has this 100% right, the tech just escalates the situation. The NBA needs to figure their shit out. Letting the players be who they are makes the games better fans want emotion, not robots.
Love this pod, but have to disagree with John here. Ejecting star players now so they get a better future product is exactly what the NBA wants. The chirping, whining, complaining, and mewling by good players leveraging their star power is completely out of control. The constant working of the refs hurts the integrity of the game. Tatum getting ejected was well deserved- he never shuts up. Brown's ejection was also warranted although he is generally much less of a complainer. Draymond should be ejected every game until he stops.
Being a star player should buy a player absolutely nothing from the refs.
If Porzingis does not play they might lose this game..the reason why? The Jays..what do I mean? The Jays don’t play good defense..without JH,DW,KP defense they lose..and they allow teams to get a lot of wide open 3s when screens are set.. if the Jays raise their defensive level, Celtics win chip..otherwise they are liabilities on that end, and don’t get me started with the silly turnovers by the Jays in important games..
