Elfrid Payton’s defense was a nice litmus test on if you actually watch the games. He had a rep as a good defensive player but he was terrible on that end for the Knicks.

Elfrid Payton was a pretty good POA defender the problem was he was a horrific shooter I think it’s a bad comparison. I do think if you put him on the team now which has better talent than 2020 roster he would be a good guy to have

Poor mans Jrue is a horrible take but fans forced his benching during that 1st playoff appearance under Thibs and we shit the bed. Following year signed Kemba thinking it would be much better than Elfrid and we were wrong. I wasn’t a fan of him, but he fit more with that team than we gave him credit for.
