  1. Tre Jones will not be the point guard of the future for the Spurs. He has disappointed this season. The Spurs should either draft their point guard of the future or sign their point guard of the future in free agency. There is no point in him discussing effort when long-term, he will not be the starting point guard for the Spurs all in all.

Tre Jones is not the answer, although he can be a competent backup PG.

  2. Victor Wembanyama needs a different PG who is devoted to getting him the ball before discussing effort and motivation.

From what I've seen, Tre Jones is not that point guard nor the point guard that Victor Wembanyama needs.

Therefore, Tre Jones discussing team effort is pointless. In a hypothetical starting lineup where he is a starter, he is the weakest link in the starting lineup. In reality, Tre Jones is not even a starter anymore on the Spurs.

  3. Looks like he hasn't put in the effort to improve. He hasn't gotten any better with 1 season an off season and here we are sub 500 holding onto underachievers!!

  4. We can point fingers of blame at individuals all we want, but it's still a TEAM GAME, and the Spurs' record says that the team is currently a BAD TEAM. Bad teams lose a lot of games.

  5. This is Year-2 of the rebuild. Lots of draft picks coming up the next few years. It’s a marathon.
Tre not looking happy. Knows he’s the best PG right now but Pop won’t start him, my guess is because of his height – Pop wants position-less team where everyone can rotate on defense and cover just about any opponent.

  6. We let the guys play and figure out who's who. We're a quarter into the season and it should be about time for Pop to actually start coaching and the front office to figure out who we're going with and who could be available on the market.
