Nice W fellas, kept the lead the whole game which is good for us. We are known to blow leads. Last season there was no way we would’ve won last game, shooting 30 3s to come back. Last game we just played our game and we took the lead eventually. NBA games are long, use the clock to your advantage!
Sam hauser lookin like klay Thompson. And some of the fouls on Lamar were bs. I feel like he might have played more if he didn’t get those quick fouls. I thought he even got a block but I could be wrong

Great team win. JB was great in the 1st with good reads. Kp and white with uncharacteristically bad reads. Sam needs more minutes and shots. Nice to see lamar get some minutes. Al was excellent on defense. JT finally closes a game properly: keep driving and finishing with force.
Now lets finally beat the magic. Luke and Al will rest so i'm hoping to see queta mins. Hope KPs ready for a back to back. i bet we do small ball tom. Can we make sure to stop mo wagner this time?
On a precautionary note, anybody else see KP clutching his hip? i hope its nothing and hes good to go tom. If not i'm hoping mazzula is precautionary and asks Al to play a few mins with alot of queta mins sprinkled in.
Imo we should stop touting traditional assists and focus on potential assists to passes made ratio. JB imo has improved alot in potential assists. Just need to get his passes made number up a little (he's at 27.5 compared to 40+ for JT, white and jrue). If JB gets up to 30+ passes per game, i'd be a happy camper.

You’re right John. The cutting is noticeably better. Also your right The Js really are changing there game and seeing the passing more is refreshing and a relief. I remember Pierce didn’t really start passing until around this point and i think when he was 28 was when he really looked like a different player so it’s coming with the Js more I hope too. Understanding that every year is different and like to look back and compare that Last year the this similar Cavs team gave us fits Celtics lost in OT I think twice? Now the Celtics are winning good to see. Can’t help but wonder if loosing the tournament shook the guys and they are listing more to the coaches now.

I am also old enough to remember revolutionary coaches are always the 1s people are yelling for their removal in the 1st season (Spoelstra, Pop, D'Antoni), because you are retraining how players think which doesn't always work, because you need the right players willing to go with you down the deep dark rabbit hole…
Tatum seems to struggle getting past defenders without a pick and roll. Its hard to imagine him losing a step at his age but its apparent.
It could also be his bag is limited and a contested 3 is the safest shot he could do in an iso situation.
