[Forsberg] Among the highest volume defenders in the NBA (10+ field goals defended per game, at least 15 games played), Brown is sixth in the NBA while holding opponents to 6.2 percent below expected output.

That 7’0 wingspan can really bother shooters

I don’t think Tatum or Brown will ever get much attention in terms of defensive awards.

We’ve always got 1-2 All-D caliber guards and some pretty great defensive bigs. Hard to justify a team getting 3 all-d nods.

Even us getting White **and** Holiday this year is going to be largely based off their prior reputations. It will be easier for voters to give us 2 all-d guards based off the fact they were both all-d seperately last season.

I don’t think either would be perennial All-D guys but on a different team, the Jays would each get some nominations over their careers. In Boston, there’s a real chance that never happens.

He’s also 19th in defensive EPM, best on our team. He’s one of the few non centers in the top 20.

I was told by a very loud group in this sub that his defense is trash though?
