The story about this the Hawks-Spurs trade deserves a Netflix documentary.
Landry Fields.. known for his handshakes with Jeremy Lin during the NY Linsanity.. becomes the Spurs scout.. then G-League GM.. we send him over to the Hawks.. and he gets us this beautiful trade. I swear to god, if he can do a second trade like this, he'll get his jersey number retired, even if he never played for us.

I don’t know it was as clear cut when DJ was in SA. If anyone criticized DJ it was taken as being insensitive towards DJs hardships getting to the NBA. Half the time I felt like I had to refute the “you just hate DJ” responses I’d get. DJ is a great player and I miss him being a Spur but it was time for him to go somewhere better for him.

Yo Clan. Hawks fan here. Admittedly, the DJ trade didn't yield the immediate results a lot of us Hawks fans were hoping for. And I think even DJ realizes he's not a number two option, which is why he signed a deal for $27-1/4 million per year when he could've gotten much more. But the plan we have is a good plan. We just have to execute it. Shout out to your boy, Wemby. I'm sure glad he's a Spur and not a Hornet.
