THEORY: Has a 365-Day-Long Curse from the Basketball Gods Finally Ended

The past year of Memphis Grizzlies Basketball has been pretty frustrating, as we’re all well aware. But I was thinking about where it all started [and I have a theory](https://i.imgflip.com/1itoun.jpg).

The 12/15 loss against the rockets was rough. The former heart-and-soul-of-the-team, Dillon Brooks, came back home and hit the game clincher on our floor. Nevermind the fact that we’d officially lost the season series against an opponent that would be nice to have the tiebreaker against for play-in standings.

But – to rewind a bit, does anyone happen to remember what happened exactly 365 days before this, on 12/15/2022? I’ll give you a second to think about it. Well, this is a text post so I guess you can just stop scrolling if you want to try to guess.

We blew out the best team in basketball in truly dominant fashion. I think the grave sin that we committed was when mid-game the crowd got bored and started to do the wave (for an extended period of time)

None of us are blameless. The players, and fanbase alike, tempted the basketball gods. This was the first domino to fall in a truly horrific sequence of events. Injuries, Inadequate performances, and Instagram lives.

Now we await Ja’s Home debut against the pacers – the most anticipated game at the FedEx Forum in a long time. Maybe the most anticipated regular season game ever? The Date?

You’re not going to believe this. I had to delete my original post and repost this because I realized this after I had already finished it just about the 12/15 events. Does anyone happen to remember what was said 365 days prior, on 12/21/2022?

Hopefully this year of hell will suffice as enough retribution from the basketball gods. I humbly ask that the wave becomes a prohibited act within the FedEx Forum and to keep Malika Andrews away from this team at all costs! I can’t go through another year of this. Just can’t!
