There was a time in the third quarter when I believe Giannis was sitting on 11-12 and 7 assists. Dame and Bobby were hot. From that point forward it was apparent the team was just focused on getting him assists. Not be be negative, just an interesting (for me) observation my friend and I had at the game last night. He was bringing the ball up the court more than normal, or receiving the ball at the top of the key and pretty clearly just looking to pass and it was apparent that everyone was on the same page with that. He might not have taken a shot in the 4th quarter – I don’t recall for sure but he didn’t score. Of course it wasn’t needed and it was cool to see him defer to the hot hands to close out the game.
