I get there’s no David Robinson, there’s no Avery Johnson, no Sean Elliott and so on, but Pop should watch some old tape, maybe the first Duncan playoff game against Phoenix.
The majority of the plays were getting Tim’s back to the basket about 10 feet out and let him work.
I get that he loves passing and teamwork, but when you have the advantage, take it.

I’m just tired of us doubling down on what doesn’t work instead of trying to figure out what could work in advance before we “intend to win”. I think a lot of people are undervaluing how important a skill court vision is. Players don’t see the broadcast perspective we do, in-game situations involve a lot of court awareness and timing to avoid forcing an easily intercepted pass.
Point Sochan was never going to work. Coming out of the draft, his player report considered him a prospect who scored off assists – so, the opposite of a floor general. Dev and Keldon were drafted as 2-way players who were not capable of creating shots for others. I understand wanting to hone their all-around game one at a time, but starting all of them in the 1-3 spot is ugly and isn’t going to teach anything – that much I’m set on.

I think the team just legit didn’t expect him to be this good immediately and the attention gets away from them. Nobody wants to be a role player anymore and its sad
