Get sochan and Collins tf outta tht team
Hate to say it, but a lot of media is pointing out how IT SEEMS like the team is purposely trying not to pass the ball to Wemby because they (Sochan, KJ and Devin mainly) want to be THE guy. I don’t know if it’s true but the video is very tough to argue against. And the, “they’re not good passers” or “they’re not used to playing with Wemby” excuses aren’t working anymore. It suck’s, I hope everyone’s wrong about it but where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
Spurs are playing mind games with a generational talent. Smh. All signs point to bad chemistry revolving around the haters Wemby playing with
Wemby has to navigate the various egos within the team as he finds the best way to assert his leadership. It will take time and Pop will guide him snd cull thosr who don't/can't make the grade.
If tonight didnt show you that this teams issue is coaching, nothing else will. Pop and his decisions are this teams main issue. Pop is to blame for all of this. 15yrs ago imagine someone didnt pass the ball to Timmy wide open just to heave a 3pt shot or midrange airball. That would result in an immediate timeout, your getting subbed, sat down and cussed at. Do it now and it's fine, wemby should never be open and get looked off, that should he an immediate sub. It's bad when the opposing teams commentator notices how dysfunctional this team is. Players purposefully not passing the teams best player the ball. And when Wemby does get the ball he is out of his spot and heaves a stupid shot out of frustration. Sochan should never EVER dribble the fucking ball. He has the vision of a 8th grade basketball player with tunnel vision. He cant pass for shit, he cant shoot for shit, airballs midranges. What does he do well? Hes been getting burned defensively, his defensive rating is putrid.
Effort starts with coaching. If player not putting out effort sit his A$$ down and put somebody in who will and i dont care we lose by 40 just give me 100% effort because spurs losing anyway effort or not.

All I see are a-bunch of wannabe stars trying to be the guy on offense not passing to Wemby. Sochan’s effort and attitude has been an issue all season. Him and Pop got to go
I heard a trade idea on the Bill Simmons podcast that I like. He suggested a Cade Cunningham trade to the Spurs for draft picks. The Pistons are in basketball hell right now, and it's clearly affecting Cade's confidence. They have a slew of PGs in Killian Haynes, Jaden Ivey, and Marcus Sasser and the Spurs could use another player who'll be with the team in 3 or 4 yrs when the rebuild around Wemby is complete.
This team is already dogshit. Why does pop continue to roll with Sochan at the point? He is hurting everyone around him. Wemby should start at the point guard. But he can still guard the bigs. It would streamline his development and help him be able to understand NBA defenses. He is unselfish. He actually passes the ball better than Sochan. Everybody else on this team is as selfish as it gets, none of them play the spurs way. Wemby at the point should be the thing moving forward. Surround him with nothing but shooters. Devin, Keldon, Cedi and Mamu just for shits and giggles. This team is putrid, might as well prioritize the development of the teams best player

Even the Bulls commentators said live the other spurs players were acting like the number one option. They said it when KJ drove in the paint when wemby was wide open under the rim.
Passing, passing, when to pass, who to pass to, run your offense through your best player. 🤷🏽

The amount of terrible takes on the Spurs right now is insane. Thats the one aspect I dislike about having Wemby. Casual bandwagons trying to tell people Jeremy hates Wemby or that Pop needs to be fired because they saw a 30 second clip online.
