The 2-27 Detroit Pistons are 15th in the NBA in Total Attendance so far this season

“These fans show up more than you think to support this team — believe it or not, 2-26 (now 27) Detroit, which hasn’t won a game in 54 days, ranks 15th in total attendance in the NBA. They show up proudly, with smiles and optimism. Jerseys. Hoodies. Hats. Whatever they can get their hands on that flashes the Pistons logo, they wear it. When, at this point, they should be showing up with brown paper bags over their heads — like in 2008 when the Lions went 0-16. This is that bad because it doesn’t feel like it’s getting better anytime soon.”

  2. Lol69HaHaHa

People come in hoppes of seeing their team win. If and when they do its gonna be a happy day worth celebrating.

In before “ X team has worse attendance than the Pistons”

Pistons are 28th in % at 87.3%. Hornets and Wizards are worse.

    2. Kings
    3. Bucks
    4. Nuggets
    5. 76ers
    6. Heat
    7. Hawks
    8. Magic
    9. Celtics
    10. Cavs
    11. Warriors
    12. Suns

The pistons are like a train crash. Hate to see it but you cant look away

One factor is the cheap tickets probably. “Oh we got nothing to do. Might as well watch LeBron pound the Pistons for 5 bucks court side or something.”

But tbf, the Pistons do have a good bb legacy.

  6. After the 76ers worst record ever, Embiid came back they drafted Ben Simmons and the process officially started. They have now been contenders in the east for 5+ years. Don’t hang your head Pistons fans, this season has no indication on what the future holds!

Sounds fake. I’ve watched some Pistons home games and their arena seemed empty as can be.

  8. defiantcross

should start offering some of this “sell the team” merch.

  9. xpillindaass

okc just paid for a whole new stadium when they are behind the pistons in attendance 😂😂😂😂

  10. ken_girthy_jr

This is because they have the 4th largest arena by seating capacity. They have the 3rd worst attendance rate (87.3%).

  11. SerialRapper

This is the Wizards 4th straight year as the last place team in %. Even in 2017 when they had their best season in the last 40 years, they were only 27th.

  12. pkeller001

They are 3rd worst in the league by percent of available tickets sold.

  13. The sold tickets thing doesn’t matter. Teams mass dump to groups for like $10 the day before the game to claim it was “sold out”.

  14. Carth_Onasi_AMA

You’re buying a ticket to history making games if this keeps up. After seeing the “sell the team” chant I would almost want to be there for it if I were a Pistons fan.

  15. That’s dope honestly. They deserve a better product

  16. SockVonPuppet

This should be normalized this by seating capacity.

  17. tigerpawx

Omg Raptors should be higher, lots of people buying those $150 + tickets ..

  18. rattlemebones

They have to pack the house for the SELL THE TEAM chants

  19. hidey_ho_nedflanders

Considering the Pistons are on pace to be historically one of the worst teams in NBA history, I’d pay to watch this trainwreck live

  20. Joseph20102011

This is the perk of the Pistons playing in the Detroit city proper, not in the faraway Auburn Hills suburb – at least loyal Pistons fans in Detroit can watch it for very cheap ticket prices.

I mean ppl watch car accidents all the time so yeah
