I for one am not going to worry about character issues for Morant. Before the grizzlies drafted him, he had a spotless record as player, team mate, family guy and community contributor.
Obviously, there has been some stress in his life he didn't handle well. Welcome to the human race. But guess what? Ja is a phenomenal basketball player who will find his first love again. Welcome home.
One more thing. It's the management who is responsible for the weakness on the wing. Zaire, LaRavia and Roddy have been underwhelming so far. Will that change? Who is to say.
Though they gave up Brooks (a mistake in my book), they grabbed G.G. in the draft and they have the draft capital and cap space to get antoher wing (Saddiq Bey anyone). No worries and a lottery pick could net us Sarr.
Buddy you are over gassing right now. The Grizzlies won because they added another elite scorer who can offset all the injured bodies and non scorers. A guy who is a great playmaker that gets others involved. Being able to have two scorers on the court instead of one is what help the Grizzlies more than anything. If you notice in the second half when all 3 had it going that’s when the Pelican cave and struggle. It’s was easy for teams to stop two scorers without others that can score but when 3 that can all go for 40 plus it stress defenses.
I say get a wing in a trade or offseason and get some scoring off the bench I like David jones from memphis
