Outscored by 21 on threes, lost by 19.

Against the Bucks this year, the Knicks have had:

Their worst, 2nd-worst, and 3rd-worst games in three-point percentage allowed

Their 5th-worst, 6th-worst, and 7th-worst games in three-point percentage for

  2. zOmgFishes

The only way this team can beat the buck is to out shoot them. They just kill our scheme. But we got absolutely jack shit from RJ, IQ, Grimes and Hart. I’d trade any combination of those guys for a reliable 3rd option.

  3. teknomatic

The bucks are just better, but I absolutely hate Thibs’ defensive strategy of “hope they miss the open threes we give them”

  4. RJ-Burner

serious question are we gonna win at least one time against the celtics or bucks this year

  5. beanie_mac

Bucks are simply unstoppable against us. Every bounce, shot, and loose ball goes their way against us. Just tough.

  6. beanie_mac

Why does Malik Beasley turn into Ray Allen against us?

  7. rextilleon

WE are not elite. Then again we know that. We are waiting for something to make this roster better.

  8. ucfknight92

I think it’s a good thing that teams like the Bucks can expose us as 2nd tier. Rose should know what he needs trade for to make us competitive. Go get someone. We’re close.

  9. asapfetty

Everyone except Brunson and Randle sold hard.

Team needs to wake up for Monday

  10. skenisahen

They say that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Why do I keep watching Knicks vs. Bucks?

  11. Hemispheres33

Shitty defense and Brunson’s supporting cast didn’t show up.

  12. I-C-U-8-1-M-I

We need size and shooting and we need to shoot RJ into the Sun

  13. iLuvRachetPussy

Bro to see hartenstein essentially beg Grimes to cut multiple times just make me want to put this kid on the block and see wtf we could possibly receive. Throw RJ and Grimes + picks out there for someone that moves off ball and goes to the rack.

Grimes may as well set up a fucking tent in the corner at this point.

  14. swap RJ for any wing that can shoot at the deadline and we’re instantly better

  15. omicron_prime

RJ has to go, period, but feel free to make your arguments as to why he doesn’t.

God man the Bucks have it all. Great starting lineup. Great bench. Dynamic scoring, great passing and chemistry. They matchup really well against us and it has been obvious every game.

With that said, the Knicks did put forth effort, they just couldn’t knock down shots. I think the Knicks beat themselves sometime. Have to play perfect ball against the Bucks.

Im not nearly as upset about this loss as most people are.
Brunson was able to keep up with both Giannis and Dame, two legit superstars. Randle played decent. Our role players just didn’t have it today, and RJ had a really bad game and needs to get his mojo back.
We’re still a flawed team. We are missing real size and that’s the reality, and the Bucks seem to make all their 3s against us. It’s okay, the Knicks eventually need to make a move to catapult us into the next level, but we’re not there yet.

  18. iLuvRachetPussy

It is also a form of coaching malpractice that Quick got 21 minutes this game!

  19. Affectionate-Tea9224

Another loss to the bucks where the outcome was decided very early on, i will keep saying this, are the knicks good, yep, are the knicks better than the years of trash we had to endure, yep, but what we know is barring injury this current roster is unlikely to win 1 game vs c’s or bucks no less a series, so the other side of me is yes we have come along way, but the other side is, if we can’t beat those 2 what are we doing to try to get to that point, because if rose and crew aren’t it’s just wasting years away.

  20. Probably the only team I can think of that I have no confidence in beating and I’m usually up beat about us beating anyone.

Our roster is too imbalance against the bucks.

    It is what it is

  21. xxjohnnyrocketzxx

they’re a tier above us, but its just a bad matchup either way. Having brook and giannis nullifies Julius for the most part and forces us to rely on our streaky shooting. The stretch big problem is what made us go from slug fests with boston last year to getting swept this year. Our 3 point defense is by far the biggest thing we have to fix

More than losing though, I hate playing guys like giannis or ja that can just travel and charge all game when we get nothing until the game is out of reach

  22. What a shitshow

Brunson was awesome, Randle was generally good despite some iffy defense, IHart and DDV chipped in.

Hart had some hustle plays but couldn’t make a damn shot (I guess technically he did make ONE shot). Grimes, IQ, and RJ were absolute disasters out there for various reasons.

We’re also way too fucking small as some on this sub have been saying since the offseason. Really shows against teams like the Bucks and the Celtics.
