Bill Simmons: The Warriors Don’t Have a Rim Protector, Why Didn’t the Celtics Attack the Rim…

Latest Bill Simmons pod with Justin Termine claimed the Celtics should have attacked the rack more bc the dubs can’t protect the rim. Did he forget these blocks or did he just not want to think about them?

Trayce is around the 5th best rim protector in the NBA. 6.3% block percentage. Higher than Rudy Gobert.

why didnt the celtics just make all of their shots? are they stupid?

Simmons was also claiming Boston didn’t try to attack Steph after Steph picked up his 5th foul.

What the hell was he watching?

I’m still high from this game and performance. What a night for TJD. I think the squad picked up a little extra swagger from that game which I hope translates into more chemistry and wins throughout the season. We have already seen significant bench improvement since this block already.

This is such a great photo.

He blocked it with his forearm? Like, WTF?

And it looks like his forearm is pinned between the ball and the rim – OUCH!

  6. Celtics started off attacking the rim when Loons was in, then as soon as TDJ came in and made some blocks they quickly realized interior scoring wasn’t going to be as easy.

Been saying on this sub when people claimed MDJ didn’t get us a rim protector, that’s exactly who Trayce is. And he’s one with experience. Older than JK and Moody.

If TGD keeps growing, he might save the team
