Mikal Bridges, Nets get right with easy win over Pistons

Mikal Bridges and the Nets, coming off a loss to Denver and on a five game losing streak – needed a visit from the Detroit Pistons.
Bridges found his shooting stroke as the Nets got back to the core of their success – making the extra pass, finding open shooters and winning the bench minutes.

  1. Overall Brooklyn handled business tonight. The Twins played their style of basketball and Mikal Bridges had a big bounce back night with 29 points 🔥.

Cam Thomas had another really good 20+ point offensive showing while Dennis Smith Jr. keeps bringing that competitive energy and has helped revitalize the second unit….

A good team win with another game against Detroit after Christmas on Tuesday. Let's go 🔥😎…

  2. Surprisingly, there are quite a few people who think that Cam Thomas should go back to the bench instead of those who haven't been performing well. They argue that his strong performance is causing other teammates to struggle. However, the fact is that Thomas is steadily improving in both defense and playmaking, meeting the coach's requirements. Benching him with such unconvincing reasons not only lacks justification but also harms the confidence of a young player.

  3. I’m going to keep repeating this Cam Thomas was coming off the bench last year and we had a horrible record the only reason we made it to the playoffs was because Kyrie Irving and Durant

  4. I didn't have an emotional response when Joe Harris was traded away. After seeing his friendship with former players and staff of the Nets with pregame comments, I can't ignore a little melancholy within me because he's no longer a Net. In my mind, he always will be. He's not only a pure gentleman but his high character and professionalism are second to none. I'll always wish him the best.

  5. Nets tend to win when Bridges scores 30+ and Cam scores 20ish. I think they lose when Cam scores 30+ and Bridges scores 20ish.

  6. Team chemistry shouldn't be minimized concerning a team's success. The subtraction or addition of just one player in a rotation can mean the difference between winning and losing. Who would've thought the addition of blue collar DSJ would make such a difference? This is where we are these days. LOL
