Brandin Podziemski on fouls disrupting the Warriors’ flow: “Collectively we did well as a team. But the fouls. It’s kind of hard to get into a rhythm when it’s free throws after free throws…We gotta play without fouling. It’s just hard with the rules. Players are good at selling fouls” (0:49)

He’s about to have his entire first paycheck fined away 😔

How to “play without fouling” when the refs just blow their whistles regardless 🤔

all yoquick has todo is run into you almost impossible to get charge on him. Joquick doesnt need any help from the rules but he sure gets it. Steph gets away with traveling but he gets no foul calls and now he gets called for floping flopping when he tries to not get injured

  4. Literally name of the game vs. the Warriors. And I don’t mean the opponent’s game plan, to be clear lol, I mean the ref’s game plan. There is no greater defense in the league against the Warriors because of the style of ball they play than the ref’s whistle – can’t move the rock to get in a rhythm and put up those patented Warriors runs if the clock is stopping every minute.

Ignoring how frustrating it as a fan and how much it ruins the fan experience (Silver says Merry Christmas, Warriors fans! Couldn’t let a holiday and all that holiday cheer get in the way of reminding us that Warriors fans are not included in the professed league wide push this season to prioritize the fan experience), I just hate it for these players having to deal with it game after game after game. It’s one thing for the seasoned vets (although it’s still wildly disrespectful to them, to be sure) because they’ve been around long enough to know the song and dance, but for these young guys just starting out it’s just so messed up and demoralizing.

Honestly his defense is incredibly underrated. He was giving Murray a real fight every play. As for the free throws all I have to say is Adam Silver is a war criminal.

We don’t get many ‘watchable’ Dubs games in Europe as most are 2-3am, so for it to be this bad was a real shame.

  7. On the one hand, totally right. On the other, funny to hear that coming from Podz, who is already a complete pro at… playing up to the rules, let’s say.

Also this whole “warriors are prone to fouling” narrative isn’t helping us. Refs come into game and just blow the whistles just on that assumption. If you look back on all our foul calls they’re minimum contact and most time it’s the other players flopping

  9. Last 5-7 minutes of the game, refs were laying on the whistle.

I think a game not on Christmas Dubs complete the comeback.
