Had to watch the pistons game over our wolves with history being on the line and all, glad I didn’t have to watch this entire train wreck, no defense at all tonight, oh well, OKC is a good team and you can’t win them all, on to the next one.

  2. Plastic-Carob-6141

Wolves played badly. They didn’t get exposed as frauds, and they didn’t have some great overarching flaw exposed as I suspect will be the prevailing theory among some very annoying national talking heads looking for the first blink of weakness. They played bad.

  3. This felt like the Suns game all over again but on to the next one

  4. gophers won bowl game, still 22-7, and Miller looks good. Not a horrible night overall

  5. Therealrickyrubio

Just a shit game all round really. Our massive size mismatch was not felt at all and was instead exploited. Not the end of the world, but not a good game at all.

  6. sayqueensbridge

Illegally ended the game with .2 seconds remaining. Game doesn’t count

  7. JustSeriousEnough

Wolves tumble all the way down to first in the Western Conference after this loss.

  8. PointGodAsh

I folded laundry the entire fourth and had more fun than watching whatever effort that was. Hopefully they show up next game.

  9. irishace88

Rough loss but no need to over react. Nobody played well for us outside of Conley and they couldn’t shoot any better from 3. Nothing wrong with losing to a good team on the road. Onto the next one

  10. Plastic-Carob-6141

60 win teams still lose 20+ games. Games like this are gonna happen where they stack individual bad performances. Can’t panic

  11. TreeAgenda

Really great team ball by OKC. You could tell they were locked in.

I think five of our seven losses have come when the other team shoots around 60% or more. Turns out that’s a good recipe for winning! On to the next one.

  12. MegatronFozzy

I’ve seen enough. Split Slo-Mo’s minutes w/ Leonard Miller now!

  13. superherostar

We had double the FT attempts but double the turnovers, we just couldn’t capitalize today, I hope we can regroup for the next game

  14. soft-cookie

Hats off to OKC, outshot us and outplayed us. Shai’s a killer, have to be way more locked in as a team to beat them, especially on the road

  15. Hot_Air3005

Hard to believe we’re #1 in the west when you see games like this

  16. PlayInChampions

We can talk about effort and other things, but at the end of the day it all comes to shot making. Only 4th game this season when opponent cannot miss no matter what – ATL, PHX, SAC, and today. You can live with 4 such losses in 29 games. Hope Dallas misses more on Thursday.

  17. Ok_Excuse_3695

I’m mad about the 7th loss of the season and we’ve played more than 12 games. So in perspective not a big deal, but just nothing redeemable from the first 45 minutes of the game.

    That said, Leonard Miller.

  18. tallsmartman

OKC was on fire from 3.
    Ant wasn’t quite himself.
    KAT REALLY wasn’t himself.
    The defensive rotations were off.
    We gave up the ball.

Never gonna beat good teams with that. No worries, onto the next one.

  19. Just one of those days. OKC is great and we weren’t at our best.

Hope KAT can get through this knee problem

  20. Im glad we’re winning at a high level in spite of it but the offense looks poorly coached. I like Finch but I simply don’t understand why Rudy postups, or SloMo being on ball, and KAT always being positioned inside the arc 95% of the time instead of from 3 are a real thing.

  21. JohnnyWarlord

Cant win em all, wont win many when the bench just gets hot af from 3

  22. Mediocre offense is our Achilles heel. We can never get into a war with potent offensive teams if they get hot. We need to improve the offense and we cannot afford to not play great defense. The playoffs will be a problem if we play elite offenses that go off.

  23. kingsofthenorth123

So when teams throw a small on KAT and swarm him with the double team again in playoffs, then what?

  24. EsotericPotato

They’re suddenly 5-3 in their last 8 with none of those losses being competitive in the slightest. They’ve got a lot to clean up, they’re getting extremely careless with the ball and are lacking some of that discipline we’ve seen on defense.

  25. chillinwithmoes

Whoa, what happened at the end? I was only able to check in infrequently and we were losing, but not getting blown out last I checked lol

  26. 1000Isand1

SGA just godly. He’s so good. How did we shut him down in the play-in? Can Ant learn some of his tricks and moves?

Chet was also awesome tonight and like all of their role players shot the lights out.

Seems like usually when we suffer the rare loss this season, it’s a blowout. Tonight was one of those nights when almost everyone on our team wasn’t very good. Conley was our only particularly good player tonight. This team has bounced back after every loss this season and I trust it will again.

  27. Thoroughly outplayed, feel like there needs to be way more of an initiative to get KAT good looks. He should never have 10 shots, especially against a team this small. Shoutout Conley for showing out though.

Really don’t know what went awry with TBJ to be basically booted out of the rotation after playing high level basketball every stint he’s had lately

  28. Impressive-Cook-9010

Gg from a thunder fan, I feel like we will have a real rivalry soon enough…

  29. MinnyPuppies

Everyone wearing blinders tonight, either they dont pass or they pass to no one.

  30. SadOutlandishness710

I really hate seeing Slowmo look for his offense

  31. Cameron-0-

please start playing miller more i can’t stand slowmo

  32. Lmnolmnop

    refs fucked us.

might not have changed the loss, but we just couldn’t get close.

  33. Slim-Ticket

I missed the game until the last 5 minutes when I saw Finch just give up with 4 minutes (a long time!) left. Kings cut the lead to single digits in less than 4 minutes, Jordan Clarkson once hit 20 points in 4 minutes by himself. 4 minutes is a long time, that’s a third of a quarter. Basketball is a game of runs. It will 100% be a loss if you don’t even try. Kinda disappointed in that mindset.

But I missed the game so maybe it really was unsalvageable? What were the main issues and what made it feel unsalvageable?

  34. Mindless_Bad_1591

Ant needs to quit whining after offensive posessions its starting to remind me of when KAT before this year.

  35. Andy_Wiggins

OKC was just flat out better tonight.

A combination of the Wolves looking sloppy (too many unfocused defensive possessions and unforced turnovers) and the Thunder balling out (they were molten hot from deep AND SGA was hitting every contested midranger).

They’re a tough matchup for the Wolves now that Chet is there. His rim protection changes the complexion of the team so much.

  36. iceyH0ts0up

Sloppy. Felt like watching wolves of years past at times. Clean up the TOs.

    On to the next one.

  37. Ant got his numbers but that wasn’t a good Ant game.

    It’s fine for one game.

But we need our superstar to play to win games like this.

  38. i just dont like finchs offense. okc can get rookie chet 20 shots but we only get kat 8. makes no sense

  39. Maybe I just don’t know ball but I don’t really see what Slowmo is bringing to this team

Like he doesn’t shoot, he doesn’t score much in general, he seems to get turned around and out of position a lot on both sides of the ball, I can’t say I’ve seen him playing particularly good defense, he’s big but he doesn’t really play like a big man (or at least he’s not very good at it). I’m just not seeing why this is the guy getting 20 mins per night.

  40. goingtothegreek

Feels like our whole team flew in this morning hungover and tried to play basketball. Disappointing loss, but so out of character for this team it’s not discouraging

  41. FiveByFive555555

SloMo is increasingly a problem. Everything just looks broken when he’s on the court. We lose this one anyway, but is this correctible? I’d love to see more TBJ and even Miller if this is going to continue.

  42. WeakLocalization

We shot almost 20 more FTs and still lost by 20 lol, it looked like their defense had us completely figured out, and all we could do was try to draw fouls. That 3rd QTR was absolutely brutal. I think we need a much stronger game from KAT to have any chance against OKC. This game would’ve been so much worse without Conley too…

  43. Hot_Air3005

Main takeaway from this game was that we need to get Kyle Anderson more open looks from 3. The guy is built like a shithouse and is all brick.
